First look!

This last tea box of summer includes teas that can be enjoyed hot or cold. They also included a fun gin cocktail using  oolong tea! I've been experimenting more with tea cocktails and they're quite delicious! My fave right now is a lavender lemon with vodka, but this Watermelon Oolong looks promising too!

Banff Tea Co. Blues on the Bow
A black tea bursting with the flavours of summer blueberries and dried fruit. Steeps up a beautiful colour in your cup.
Ingredients: Black tea, cornflower petals, blackberry leaves, dried blueberries, beetroot, elderberries, raisin pieces, hibiscus, apple pieces and natural flavouring.
For iced tea, they recommend steeping hot, then pouring  over ice.

Monarch Teas Summer Fling
One of our summer favourites and a flavour you don’t see often in tea! This is a watermelon oolong that’s juicy, refreshing and sweet.
Ingredients: Oolong, papaya, plum, safflower petals, natural organic flavours.
Amoda recommends cold steeping this overnight for perfect iced tea. The Watermelon Oolong gin cocktail uses this blend. It smells like fresh, ripe watermelon!

Banff Tea Co. Rundle Mountain
Keeping it simple is sometimes the key to making a delicious tea.  Rundle Mountain is a cooling, gently sweet and floral green tea with spearmint and rose.
Ingredients: Green tea, rose petals, spearmint, and natural flavours.
This is another one recommended for overnight cold steeping. This eliminates the bitterness that can develop with green tea.

Shushwap Infusions Tea Peachy Lime Mojito
Caffeine-free rooibos, juicy peach and just the right amount of lime. Great hot or iced!
Ingredients: Organic rooibos, peppermint, peach & lime pieces, lime & blackberry leaves, calendula petals, natural flavour.
I have a full size of this from Shushwap Infusions Tea (local to BC) and it's delicious, especially iced.

The August tea box from Amoda Tea included four tea blends from BC and Alberta! This box is a last blast of summer with delicious blends bursting with summer fruits like blackberry,  blueberry, plum, and peach. It's literally summer in a box, which will soon become summer in a tea pot!
