Simply Beautiful by BC Living Review - Spring 2018 - Canadian Lifestyle Subscription Box

Canadian Box Addict paid for this box.

What is it? Simply Beautiful by BCLiving
How much? $88/quarter, plus tax. Shipping included. Prices in Canadian dollars.
What's in it? 6 to 8 curated products delivered to your door for the body, home and soul

Simply Beautiful is by the editors of BCLiving, an online lifestyle guide offering insider information and tips about life on BC's west coast. Simply Beautiful was launched as a way for the Editors at BCLiving to share their favourite products and best local finds. Each season, Simply Beautiful sends a curated box of 6-8 products for body, home, and soul. Expect to see the best beauty finds, must-have style pieces, trendy home décor, and other items to inspire your most beautiful life. The retail value of each box will be $150 to $200!

While Simply Beautiful is a quarterly box and ships every 3 months, they offer two billing options. Subscribers can choose to pay monthly instalments to break up the cost, or pay the full price quarterly. The monthly instalment price is $36, so it ends up being $20 more expensive than paying quarterly, which is odd to me. Be sure to choose to pay every 3 months!

Simply Beautiful is celebrating a birthday! They sent their very first box out in Spring of last year. I've been along for the entire ride so click here to see all my past Simply Beautiful reviews.

Simply Beautiful Done & Done Notepad ($10)
This little notepad is great! I am a list person. I write lists about lists. I wish they included info about who designed this notepad though. I love the simple design and I'd be interested in buying more. Plus we have so many great local stationery designers in Vancouver, it would be nice to see on showcased.

Blush Peony Gauzy Tassel Scarf ($40)
This scarf is huge, more like a sarong. It's a gauzy cotton/linen blend that will be great for the transition from winter to spring. It would work nice with a bright, bold dress. This is the third Blush Peony product we've received from Simply Beautiful and I still can't find any digital trace of this brand.

Cheri Arome Bloom Tsubaki Face Drops ($37)
This facial oil is packed with vitamin enriched oils like jojoba, rosehip, and tsubaki. Tsubaki is a Japanese beauty trend. It's non-greasy, absorbs quickly, and is a super effective moisturizer. This is perfect for our winter-dried skin.

Delia Organics Nail & Cuticle Oil ($18)
This blend of nourishing essential oils helps heal nail beds, hydrate cuticles, and promote healthy nail growth. I need this so badly right now! Delia Organics appeared in the Winter 2017 box as well.

Huna Apothecary Nourish Skin Nutrition Balm ($49)
This replenishing skin balm contains extracts of pomegranate, mango, avocado, carrot, broccoli, and more. Huna Apothecary is based in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Olive + Piper Mini Tassel Earrings ($26)
These earrings are 14k plated gold with mini tassels. They're small, yet glamorous. Olive + Piper is based in Vancouver. This is the second item we've received from Olive + Piper and I've loved each one. Check the Olive + Piper blog for suggestions on how to wear tassel earrings.

Simply Beautiful Rose Gold Measuring Spoons ($10)
This pretty set of measuring spoons will look great in the kitchen. Try some fresh new spring recipes using this basic culinary tool. It's kind of an odd item to find in a box, but rose gold is very trendy right now.

The Spring 2018 Simply Beautiful box included seven items, with a retail value around $190. This box cost me $98.56, including tax. Shipping is free. A lot about this box appeals to me and I have really enjoyed many of the products I've received. I like the local focus and the desire to expose subscribers to items to inspire beautiful living.

This is my last Simply Beautiful box for a while. I'm happy with the box but ready to try something new. Despite my Simply Beautiful journey coming to an end, I do recommend this one to people looking for a little pampering. You are sure to find some fantastic products from local Vancouver or Canadian brands.
