This post contains affiliate and referral links.

Meal subscription boxes are an emerging trend in Canada. Our lives are hectic, and it's not always easy to get a home cooked meal on the table after a long day. I am constantly looking for quick and easy options that are healthier than fast food and take out. This is where meal subscription boxes come in. These dinner delivery services are changing the face of home cooking. There are now a dozen such services across Canada. Some service the entire country, while others only provide regional delivery. I now subscribe to FIVE different services, on a rotating basis. I've done the leg work so you don't have to!

Best of the Boxes 2017 - Men

Image
My Best of the Boxes list ends today with a fun one compiled with the help of my boyfriend. Much of the male-centric product I receive ends up in his hands, so I figured he was the best one to decide which products were the best of all that we received in 2017. He's not one for ties or pocket squares, but he does love his funky socks. Keep in mind, I don't receive many man-specific boxes, so the pickings were kind of slim.

Listed in chronological order, here is the Best of the Boxes 2017 for Men:

February - Ostrich Mugshot Socks from Good Luck Sock
Easily the best pair of socks we've ever received. The stripes say classic, but the ostrich says "How you doin?". G is also a fan of Good Luck Sock's Active Fit line.

March - MyPakage Underwear from moJJa
These underpants changed G's life. Up until this parcel, he was a BM4L (boxer man for life). We've slowly been replacing his ratty old boxers with MyPakage and similar boxer briefs, but damn are they ever e…

Best of the Boxes 2017 - Beauty

Image
The Best of the Boxes 2017 series continues with the top beauty picks for the year. Most of our beauty box reviews last year were written by Hayley, so I asked her to do the honours for this list. Take it away Hayley!

This past year writing reviews for you has really given me a huge appreciation for some of the beauty boxes and their contents. I mean, it can’t be easy curating these beauty boxes as you need to have a theme, products that match said theme, and you don’t want your box to be the same as someone else's. I seriously dig beauty products and am so grateful I’ve gotten to share my passion and appreciation with you all. Without further ado, let’s check out my faves from this past year!

Listed in chronological order, here is the Best of the Boxes 2017 for Beauty:

January - MaskerAide SPOTTED! Anti-Blemish Clear Spot Patches from Topbox & BB5 So these fabulous little patches work like magic! I will apply one at night when I have a big blemish and it is half the size or sm…

Best of the Boxes 2017 - Lifestyle

One of the most common questions I get from friends and readers alike is "what are your favourite products from subscription boxes?". It's a tough question to answer because I get a lot of amazing things from boxes. The products I love the most tend to be items I use frequently, sometimes daily, or things I've purchased again after trying them first in a box. This year I'm starting a new series called "Best of the Boxes" to share my most favourite items from all the subscription boxes I received in the previous year. The series will be in three parts: Lifestyle, Beauty, and Men.First up is Lifestyle! Here it goes, in chronological order:January - Fromagerie 1860 Due Village Pleine Lune from Cheesy Place Is it weird that there is cheese on this list? You would understand if you tasted this rich, creamy, heavenly french cheese. I was able to find it again once and I hoarded that little wheel for a couple of weeks.
Spring - Milly Zip Pouch from FabFitFun I …
