What’s in it? Canadian, vegan and handmade candles.

Candlr is a Canadian subscription box that sends handmade, vegan, natural, sustainable and healthy candles. Each month the candles will be curated based on a theme, with a different theme being revealed monthly. Candlr only sources from local, Canadian artisans and is based out of Hamilton, Ontario.

Recurring subscriptions will be charged on the 15th of each month. For example, if you purchase the January box now, you will be charged for the February box on January 15. You can also cancel your subscription at any time.

I would also like to point out that Candlr’s customer service is exceptional! I had a few questions and they replied almost instantly each time.

The theme for the December Candlr box is Holiday:

This box includes scents of Sensual Spruce and Citrus to settle you into cold days in front of a warm fire; Sweet and Spicy Cinnamon to warm your insides and excite your senses; and Sweet Mandarin and Cider to ease you into the cold days ahead.

Santa Baby Soy Candle from The Fragrance Lab
An Oriental Christmas scented candle. Celebrate the holidays with this unique fun & flirty holiday fragrance. Mandarin & grapefruit entwined with mulled cider, balsam, berries, cedar-wood.
The Fragrance Lab is a Hamilton-based company offering hand-poured soy candles. This Santa Baby candle smells incredible and I love the scent of citrus, berries and balsam that come through. This candle is probably only three ounces in size (not 10 ounces as the lid suggests) and when I burned it for two hours, my whole house smelled beautifully for a couple days. On their website they suggest that their 10 ounce candles will burn for 80-90 hours, so I’m assuming I will get 20-30 hours out of this one. Awesome!

Cinnamon Buns Soy Candle from Lather & Glow Soap Co.
This candle smells just like a cinnamon bun. This candle will fill the whole room with the smell of warm cinnamon and fresh pastries. It's a great winter scent but is delicious any time of year. Lather & Glow Soap Co soy candles are hand-poured in Toronto, Ontario. They use premium, phthalate free fragrances to scent the candles.
Oh my goodness! I wish I could share this scent with you - it smells so delicious and delectable. Imagine cinnamon buns fresh out of the oven- that’s the smell. This candle is eight ounces and the suggested burning time is 35-40 hours! Yum!

Citrus Spruce from Lolita's Soy Candles
Fir Balsam and Sandalwood notes with a fresh blend of Grapefruit and Mandarin. Lolita’s Soy Candles is a Vancouver-based business producing beautiful scented Soy Candles for every occasion.
Whenever I see “Spruce” I assume I’m not going to love it. This Candle however smells great as the spruce scent is subtle and the citrus notes take over. How cute is the saying on it: “Be naughty. You will get presents anyways”.

The December Candlr box contained three handmade vegan soy Candles from Canadian artisans. It’s hard to put a value on this box, but what I can tell you is that the candles received were carefully chosen and are made of excellent quality and ingredients. I would highly recommend this box for yourself or the candle lover in your life. The December box is still available for one-time-purchase. Click here to check it out.

If you’re interested in subscribing to Candlr Box enter code CDNBOX20 for 20% off your first box!

The Candlr Box theme for January is "Renewal" and will include 3 candles - a 16oz candle, a 4oz candle, and an 8oz candle.
