I love the little post cards Little Life Box includes each month. This one says "You can't please everyone. You're not an avocado".

First look!

Organic Traditions Dried Jujube Fruit (6oz, $11.95)
Jujube Fruit has been a revered superfruit in traditional Asian culture for centuries. Snack on this delicious superfruit right out of the bag or use in a variety of recipes. Please be advised that Jujube fruits contain pits. Prior to using them in recipes, remove the pits. Add to teas, smoothies, trail mixes, yogurt, hot or cold cereal, oatmeal, porridge, granola, berries, pancakes, muffins, salads, salad dressings, soups, puddings, apple sauce, baked goods, raw superfood truffles and more. Make delicious jams, chutney or sauces.I'd never heard of this before. Some sites online refer to these as red dates. I might try baking with them.

Beanfield's Bean & Rice Chips (1.5oz, $1.25)
Beanfields Nacho Bean and Rice Chips capture your taste buds with their bold, cheesy flavor. One serving of Beanfields Nacho chips gives you 5 grams of protein and 6 grams of fiber, so you can feel good about what you’re eating. Beanfields Snacks are always vegan, certified gluten-free, kosher, Non-GMO Project Verified and have zero grams of sugar.
These chips were pretty tasty.

Ethical Bean Classic Medium Roast (60g, $2.30)
A coffee insider's favourite and the little black dress of our lineup. Elegant acidity highlights a nuanced, medium bodied cup. Our Classic coffee meets all the requirements for perfect Bulletproof® coffee. I'm one of those strange people that doesn't own a coffee maker, nor do I drink coffee very often. I do like getting ground coffee in boxes though because I use it to make cold brew. That's really the only way I enjoy coffee, especially in the summer.

Oneka Goldenseal Citrus Shampoo & Conditioner (Samples)
This shampoo is Canadian, paraben & sulfate-free, PH balanced, organic, biodegradable, vegan and gluten-free.
This shampoo & conditioner smells great.

Shelby Naturals Face Cream (sample)
This cream is great for day and night use. It's cruelty-free, non-GMO, organic and vegan!
This cream is made with Moroccan argan oil, seabuckthorn oil, lemon, sweet orange, and grapefruit oils.

Burt's Bees Radiance Eye Cream ($21.95 US)
Moisturizes, with Royal Jelly to enhance skin's natural radiance. I couldn't find  this product on the Burt's Bees website, and a lot of retailers, like Target and Walmart, had it on clearance or no longer available. I wonder if it's been discontinued.

Spry Fresh Fruit Chewing Gum (100 pc, $15.29)
Spry Xylitol Chewing Gum peps up your mouth with the flavour of fresh, crisp fruit and may reduce the risk of tooth decay.
This gum tastes really good, but it looses flavour quickly.

LaRitzy Liquid Lip Stain in Bailey ($20 US)
Our velvet matte stain that lasts all day. Tip: Top with gloss for glossy long-lasting color!
Another month, another LaRitzy product. This company sure is making the subscription box rounds. The lip stain is a nice neutral colour. I'm not into matte though, so I will pass it on.

4VRYNG Mindfulness Relaxation Liquid Supplement (Sample)
A Health Canada approved supplement carefully designed to promote relaxation and manage stress. This liquid supplement will serve as a great tasting beverage to complement zen like activities such as massage, yoga, and meditation. Consult a physician and/or naturopath for other potential uses.

Yogourmet Kefir Starter (Sample)
Origins of kefir may be 4000 years old but it’s still a major trend! Well-known as a fermented probiotic milk it contains vitamin B1, B12, calcium, folate and vitamin K2. Homemade kefir will do good to your health with 100 billion live and active bacteria per 100 g serving.
These packets contain free-dried kefir grains, which you can bring back to life and start your own kefir colony. I raised kefir a few years ago, and it requires care & attention, but the results are worth it. Having your own fresh kefir in the fridge is so good! I don't drink milk anymore, so I'm going to have to see if this will work with nut milk.

Pro Circuit Vegan Protein ($4)
A mixture of 4 carefully selected organic vegan proteins to make an exceptional drink containing 20g of protein. The addition of 12 organic fruits and vegetables contribute a high content of vitamins and minerals giving the drink incomparable taste.
I've been on the hunt for plant-based protein powders, so I'm looking  forward to trying this one.

The July Little Life Box included 12 items, valued over $87 Canadian. The full size Spry gum, Burt's Bees lotion, and Organic Traditions fruit really bumped up the value this month! It's a great variety of items and lots of new and interesting products and brands to try out.
