What is it? Topbox
How Much? $12 per month, plus tax. Shipping included. Prices in Canadian dollars.
What’s in it?  4 deluxe beauty samples

Topbox is a Canadian subscription service that sends four deluxe samples from top beauty brands each month. Topbox is the premiere monthly beauty subscription box in Canada and at only $12 per month, plus tax, it's an affordable option for those just getting into the world of beauty boxes. Topbox tends to include a lot of skincare products with some cosmetics. They tend to feature higher end drugstore and department store brands. You can expect to see Lise Watier, Estee Lauder, Elizabeth Arden, and Benefit, along with some new and niche brands.

You can see all our previous Topbox reviews here.

I received the regular Topbox this month. Each month you are asked to fill out a survey and you can bid to receive a Prive Topbox, or you can opt to get a regular one. I opted for a regular Topbox this month. I received the shipping information for the June Topbox two days after it was delivered and I received my digital product card three days after delivery. Not great this month.

This Digital Product Card was delivered to my inbox three days after my Topbox was delivered...I felt that was a little too delayed.

First look!

belif The True Cream - Aqua Bomb (10ml, $10.64)
Instantly hydrating, lightweight gel cream. Clinically proven to increase hydration levels by 18%. Perfect for all skin type.
I also received this in my Summer Luxebox. Luxebox is a subscription that Topbox took over in April 2015. Click here for a refersher. The True Cream Aqua Bomb is an ultra-lightweight, mineral oil-free gel-cream that instantly cools and refreshes skin while providing intensive hydration. It feels nice once applied and will be useful in the Summer months when I’ve gotten too much sun.

Elizabeth Arden PREVAGE City Smart Double Action Detox Peel Off Mask (7 ml, $7.80)
This double-action mask delivers both immediate and long-term detoxifying results. Instantly, smart polymers gently lift away dirt and oil to gently resurface skin.
I don’t know why but I really dislike seeing anything by Elizabeth Arden in my subscription boxes. Maybe it’s because it makes me feel old? Or because it’s a common brand found at Shoppers? Regardless, I will give it a shot as the “smart polymers” sound fancy.

ESTATE Cosmetics Lip Crayon in Spring Season ($10)
These versatile crayons are all you need for the perfect pout. Use it alone or layer it under your fave lip color!
This lip crayon is the perfect colour for Summer. I’ve never heard of this brand before but their products are designed in Montreal and never tested on animals.

JOICO Blonde Life Brightening Masque (50ml, $8.50)
Detoxifying masque deeply nourishes and feeds depleted blonde locks while neutralizing chlorine and removing trace minerals to keep blondes bright and on-tone.
I’ve used JOICO products in the past and they work well. I’m excited to receive this brightening masque to brighten up my blonde ombre for summer.

My June Topbox included four products. The retail value of the products is $36.94, which is an okay value for Topbox. We have one full size product, two deluxe samples and one sample-sized products. It's a nice mix of products this month with skincare, hair care and cosmetics. I will use everything, but this is not my favourite Topbox.
