Terra Bella Box Review - June 2017 - Eco-Beauty Subscription Box + PROMO CODE

This box was provided complimentary for review and this box contains affiliate links.

What is it? Terra Bella Box
How much? $32.95/month, plus $8.95 shipping. Prices in US dollars.
What's in it? 3-4 handmade, natural bath & beauty products. Always cruelty-free.

Terra Bella Box is a different kind of beauty box. Each month, Terra Bella sends a collection of natural, handmade beauty products. Items are made by small businesses with love and are always cruelty-free. Products are always full size, and free of harsh chemicals.

Terra Bella also has the Makeup Edit box, which contains at least three cruelty-free and natural makeup items. The Makeup Edit sells for $29.95/month plus $10.95 shipping. Subscribers have the option to switch back and forth between each box (as long as the change is made before the 20th of the month). You can skip or cancel any time.

My June box came with an extra surprise when I picked it up at the post office. Canada Border Services assessed tax on the import of this box! The goods were valued at $32.95 US by Terra Bella, so CBSA decided to waste some time and paperwork to charge me GST, PST, and a "handling fee" for their troubles. Total owing: $15.33. This is the first time I have ever had to pay extra for a Terra Bella Box, and I can assure you this is not the norm.

Now on to the review...

Product card!

First look!

The Preserve Company Hand & Body Scrub in Georgia-Florida Line (4oz, $20)
This scrub is made with orange and peach oils blended with sugar. It smells great!

Modish Polish Nail Polish in Control Freak ($12)
This is a 5-free vegan and cruelty free polish. Control Freak is described as a dark red lacquer. I quite like this colour. It's dark though so I will save it for fall and winter.

Indigo Wild Zum Wash in Sea Salt ($13.50)
This liquid soap is super emollient. It contains no synthetic foaming agents, parabens, or phthalates.

Sugar Shak Banana Cream Bath Bomb (5oz, $3.99)
This bath bomb is scented with pure banana extract, and infused with aloe vera, Vitamin E, coconut oil, sweet almond oil, shea butter, and cocoa butter.

The June Terra Bella Box included four full size products, valued just under $50 US. I like the mix of products. They are all things I will use. The liquid soap is my favourite this month. It's a unique product, and one we don't see often in subscription boxes.

  2. Border Services also charged me this month for mine and my soap had opened. Not a great month :)
