Mapleblume Review - April 2017 - Canadian Luxury Beauty Box

This box was provided complimentary for review.

What is it? Mapleblume
How Much? $120 every 2 months. Includes shipping. Prices in Canadian dollars.
What's in it? At least five full-size or deluxe sample-size products inside

Mapleblume is luxury Canadian beauty box, sending a minimum of five premium brand skincare and cosmetic products every other month. According to the founders, "Mapleblume was born out of a desire to create something beautiful".
We saw that there was a void in the Canadian subscription box market for luxury brand skincare and cosmetic products that are high in quality and that provide more than just sample sized amounts. Through research and networking, we discovered some of the finest brands with the purest ingredients that we wanted to share with other people.

Mapleblume ensures that every box contains a balance of skincare and cosmetic products. They only include products containing the highest quality ingredients that are beauty-enhancing and skin-nourishing. Mapleblume tests every product and only includes products they absolutely love. They also guarantee that the value of every box will be significantly more than the retail cost of the products.

The packaging is so deluxe! I love the box with the magnetic lid. They are great for reusing.

April product card

The first peek didn't reveal much. The box did include a little maple sugar candy, a Mapleblume signature item.

Root + Willow Fig & Plum Body Butter  (2oz, $16 US)
This highly concentrated combination of skin-softening butters and oils melts on contact with warm skin. It smells delicious - like sugar plums. The main ingredients are shea butter, mango butter, and grape seed oil.

Root + Willow Matcha & Mint Organic Lip Balm ($6 US)
This lip balm has an elegant, buttery-smooth texture. It glides on easily and leaves a hint of shine.

Sundays Nail Polish No. 4 ($18 US)
Sundays is a vegan, non-toxic nail studio in Manhattan. Mapleblume hinted to this item in their Insta Stories earlier this month when they visited the Sundays salon in New York. This polish is 10-free. The pinky-nude shade is lovely for spring.

Vapour Organic Beauty Siren Lipstick in Au Pair ($25 US)
This colour is called a "velvet berry" and it is gorgeous. This formula is 70% organic ingredients and 30% minerals and essential oils.

Fitglow Beauty Vita Rich Creme ($119 CDN)
This is the feature product for April. It's a calming and nourishing moisturizer with over 150 photo nutrients and vitamins. They say it will transform the look and feel of your skin. I can't wait to try this one.

Lavido Purifying Face Cleanser ($29 US)
This Pomegranate Peel, Orange Blossom, and Carrot cleanser from Lavido is rich in Vitamin A to protect and nourish the skin, while thoroughly cleansing the pores.

The April box from Mapleblume included six full size products, valued around $250 Canadian! The value is more than double the cost of the box. The products are very luxurious this month, especially the Fitglow Beauty cream. There is a mix of products for the face and body, with cosmetics and skincare included. The next box ships in June, and this would be great for a Mother's Day gift!

Final look!

  1. Some great products and value to the box. I like how it was packaged too.
