There are two new themes available for May - Epicure and Lunch. This is a review for Epicure.

Writer Virginia Woolf once proclaimed, “One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.” To which this box proclaims, here, here!

Indeed, what if the path to our highest good really were through following our pleasure? Well, that would make wine and cheese very, very important—and this kit a pretty sacred set of tools.

Neem Wood Cheese Board ($15)
This neem wood board was handcrafted in India. It was previously featured in the June 2016 "Picnic" Artisan box. In that box they called it a "travel cutting board" and I posted then that it was too pretty to use as a cutting board, but would be perfect for cheese, fruit, and charcuterie. Apparently GlobeIn agreed!

Mouse Cheese Knife from India ($10)
This stainless steel cheese knife was made by a group of stainless artisans in India. They are part of a fair trade collective that helps with access to education, healthcare, clean water, and professional development. This knife is very cute and very well made.

Stemless Wine Glasses from Mexico ($30)
These handblown glasses are from Cristaluc factory in Tonala, Mexico. I love stemless glasses. They are great for patio season!

Mini Handwoven Basket from Mexico ($10)
This is a mini version of the GlobeIn Signature Basket and it's adorable. GlobeIn suggests filling it with nuts, olives, chocolate, cocktail picks, or napkins.

GlobeIn Gift Card ($3)
Every box now includes a gift card that you can share with friends, or keep for yourself. This flat card would look lovely in a frame!

The April "Epicure" box from GlobeIn included seven items, valued at $68 US. With the theme named epicure, I was expecting more of a focus on food and cooking, but I was pleasantly surprised with the wine and cheese related items. They will be put to good use in my household!
