Mapleblume Review - February 2017 - Canadian Luxury Beauty Box

This box was provided complimentary for review.

What is it? Mapleblume
How Much? $120 every 2 month. Includes shipping. Prices in Canadian dollars.
What's in it? At least five full-size or deluxe sample-size products inside

Mapleblume is luxury Canadian beauty box, sending a minimum of five premium brand skincare and cosmetic products every other month. According to the founders, "Mapleblume was born out of a desire to create something beautiful".

We saw that there was a void in the Canadian subscription box market for luxury brand skincare and cosmetic products that are high in quality and that provide more than just sample sized amounts. Through research and networking, we discovered some of the finest brands with the purest ingredients that we wanted to share with other people.

Mapleblume ensures that every box contains a balance of skincare and cosmetic products. They only include products containing the highest quality ingredients that are beauty-enhancing and skin-nourishing. Mapleblume tests every product and only includes products they absolutely love. They also guarantee that the value of every box will be significantly more than the retail cost of the products.

This beautiful gift box comes packaged in a brown mailing box. It's perfect for gifting or reusing.

The February box is themed "Love Yourself".

First look!

Fig & Yarrow Complexion Water (1oz Travel Size, $18.25)
Complexion Waters are reparative, balancing, toning and aromatherapeutic skin hydrating mists made with certified organic floral distillates and pure essential oils.
This Rose & Sandalwood scent is light and refreshing.

The Abnormal Beauty Company Hylamide Low-Molecular HA Rehydration Booster ($20)
Apply once or twice daily as adjunct skincare to offer short and longer-term below-surface and surface rehydration, and for a plump, youthful and comfortable skin appearance.
I'm already very familiar with The Abnormal Beauty Company, via their line called The Ordinary. The goal of ABC is to create medical-grade skincare products that don't cost a fortune. There is a great write up about them here. If you haven't looked into The Abnormal Beauty Company yet, I highly suggest you do! They're Canadian too!

RMS Beauty Living Luminizer ($49.50)
This formula is the ultimate illuminator for creating a sensuous, sheer, luminous glow. Best of all, the living luminizer enhances the skin's natural youthfulness without being sticky, greasy or glittery.
I've never used a luminizer, but I feel like I should give it a try. My "natural youthfulness" could use a boost!

Hynt Beauty Lip Gloss in Liquid Garnet ($23.50)
Packed with organic oils and extracts to treat the lips, the range of colors are designed to flatter all skin tones at every age. Our luxuriously creamy but lightweight vegan lip gloss is free of all things undesired, making it the perfect everyday, wearable color essential to keep lips kissably soft.
This shade is gorgeous! It's the perfect date-night colour.

Odacite Ba+S Eye Serum Concentrate ($54.75)
Highly nutritive serum specially formulated for the delicate, thin skin of the eye contour. Rich in Vitamins A, E & F and plant sterols, the magnificent Baobab oil targets all signs of aging around the fragile eye area, helping to reduce wrinkles and increase elasticity.
This is the feature product this month. My under eye area could use some TLC so I'm happy to see this great product.

Biodara Luminous Cleansing Oil ($54.75)
This hydrating cleansing oil is rich in organic botanicals that gently cleanse and renew the skin while maintaining the skin's natural moisture barrier. Pumpkin Seed Oil is packed with essential fatty acids, antioxidants and zinc which helps soothe, hydrate and regenerate skin.
This package also included a eco-cotton cleansing cloth that helps micro-exfoliate.

The February 2017 box from Mapleblume included six items, valued over $220 Canadian! Everything about this box says luxury. It starts with the packaging and continues with the top quality skincare and beauty products, many of which are organic and vegan. I was very happy to see a product from a fabulous Canadian company.
