What is it? Frank And Oak Style Plan
How much? $89 per shipment. Tax and shipping included. Prices in Canadian dollars.
What's in it? Up to 4 premium quality staples from Frank + Oak's own label. Subscriptions for men and women.

Frank And Oak is a Canadian clothing brand that crafts premium, on-trend styles for men and women. Frank And Oak recently launched a subscription service called Style Plan. For $89 per shipment, you can get up to 4 premium quality staples at up to 25% off retail prices. You control what you get and when you get it.

Frank And Oak offers sizes XS to XL in tops and dresses and size 24 to 31, or 0-12 in bottoms. Packages ship monthly or bi-monthly. If you don't find anything you want, you can skip the shipment. Shipping is always free and you can return unwanted items for free by mail or in-store.

When you sign up for Frank And Oak, you complete a survey outlining what styles, patterns, and colours appeal to you. It's a simple survey, consisting of clicking happy, neutral, or sad faces. Once your survey is completed, Frank And Oak Style Plan gives recommendations from the latest collection. The more you take the quiz and open up your preferences, the more styles revealed to you.

Items in your personal showroom are priced by token and your $89 subscription price gives you 5 tokens. Most items range from 1-5 tokens to purchase. Occasionally items, like jackets, require additional tokens purchase. Tokens cost $17.80 each and can be purchased through your Style Plan account. Your tokens don't expire and you can save them and carry over into future months. When you're ready to build your Style Plan shipment, just spend your tokens on your selected items. No additional payment is needed.

Frank And Oak pieces are what I call polished basics. There's nothing too casual and nothing too formal. Pieces can easily be dressed up or down.  Colours and patterns are very muted. Fabrics include tencel, 100% cotton, modal, linen, and cotton blends. After spending a loooong time going through my style recommendations, reviewing size charts, and changing my mind a million times, I finally settled on three tops.

The  package includes instructions for returning unwanted items. I had no idea there's a Frank And Oak store in the Gastown neighbourhood of Vancouver!

The first look wasn't much of a surprise, since I picked these items, but it was still exciting!

Cotton-Blend Scroopneck Sweater in Dark Sapphire (2 tokens / $59.50 retail)
There’s nothing more exciting that lightening up that winter wardrobe, but sometimes the chill just won’t beat it. This streamlined silhouette in a lighter sweater knit will keep shining even when the sun's in hiding.
When I first pulled this out I was worried. I am a busty gal and this sweater looks very small. It's slim fit, but thankfully it stretches out and fits perfect. It's still chilly enough around Vancouver that I can get a few weeks of wear out of this one before spring weather finally rolls in.

Scoop Neck Tee in Bright White (1 token / $26.50 retail)
Soft and fluid, the classic crewneck gets a stylish level up with a basic that is as much simple blouse as it is essential tee.
This loose fit tee has lengthened t-shirt sleeves and side slits. It's made from a super soft cotton and modal blend. As far as a basic white tee goes, this one is perfect.

The Drop-Shoulder Gym Fleece in Barbados Cherry (2 tokens / $59.50 retail)
This drop-shoulder fleece hoodie offers athletic inspo that suits active minds as well as the bodies that move them.
This oversized drop-shoulder hoodie has a front kangaroo pocket. It's a cotton/poly blend that will be perfect for cool evenings at the park.

Three new tops!

My April Style Plan shipment from Frank And Oak included three basic tops, with a retail value of $145.50. The Style Plan fee is only $89, including shipping so I got nearly 40% off retail prices. The clothes fit true to size, which is great because fit was a real concern for me going into this. The quality  is fantastic, with soft fabrics and top-notch construction. I was so impressed with Frank And Oak, that I made another purchase, outside of the Style Plan. The dress (pictured at the top of my review) was not included in my Style Plan recommendations, so I made an extra order!

*Update - May 15, 2017. While the tops I picked fit well on me, the dress I ordered in addition to the Style Plan fit HUGE and had to be returned. I have a larger chest, so while I was pleased with the larger fit on the tops, average or smaller framed ladies may find Frank + Oak fits large. Double check the size charts and model descriptions to be sure.
