This is a review for the Edmonton City FitBox.

Spring is the perfect time to set new fitness and lifestyle goals and the Edmonton City FitBox is the perfect way to refresh and spring into a lifestyle of wellness! As always, each FitBox features more amazing products and services to help you get fit and pampered. The Spring Edmonton FitBox includes everything available in the Spring Signature FitBox plus local offers including spin and yoga classes, yummy treats, and fresh locally made juices for your busy life! Give yourself a fresh start this season and make 2017 the year of health and happiness!

I had to laugh at this Edmonton Fitbox blurb - I DID NOT receive spin or yoga class offers….

The first look was pretty impressive. The box was filled to the brim with full sized products and there appeared to be a nice mix of items.

Ponytail Mail Hair Ties 3-Pack ($6.50)
These hair ties are handmade in Toronto, ON. Ponytail Mail appears to have a subscription of their own where you can order 5-20 hair ties every month or every other month. These hair ties claim that they won’t rip or crease your hair and that they’re cuter than conventional hair ties. I wore one this week to my tap class and my hair was not creased - win! We were also given a promo code for 20% off!

GAIAM Restore Ultimate Foot Massager ($6.98)
Not just for your feet, this mini massager relieves tightness in the hands, arms and legs as well. Small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, its compact size is great for on the go use and the textured surface provides added relief. Soothes pain from plantar fasciitis, heel spurs and everyday aches.
As soon as I was done taking a photo of this foot massager, I ripped the package open to test it out. It feels wonderful on my stiff, sore muscles in my feet and hips.

Noyau Exfoliant Au Cafe Coffee Scrub - (50g,  $4.80)
This coffee scrub is handmade with fine coffee grounds & all natural ingredients. It smells great. Noyau is based in Montreal, QC.

Coconut Orange Bounce Protein Energy Ball ($2.33)
This ball proves that orange really is the new black where it comes to healthy snacks. When you combine whey protein with cacao nibs, sunflower seeds and a dash of citrus sweetness, you get a wow factor that’s hard to beat.
I’m already a fan of bounce protein energy balls and was excited to try this new flavour. It had a nice mix of both coconut and citrus flavours.

Taste of Nature Ginger Granola Bar (~$1)
I love that Taste of Nature Bars are all non-GMO project verified, organic, certified gluten free, and made only with real ingredients. However, I think this is an old bar as the flavour is not listed on their website and their packaging has changed.

KIND Granola Peanut Butter Whole Grain Clusters ($7.29)
These Whole Grain Clusters are a protein packed blend of peanuts and whole grains amaranth, quinoa, oats, millet and buckwheat. They’re gluten free! They’re actually delicious and I’ve been eating this with yogourt and on it’s own for a snack.

Amazon Nomadix Hand Towel ($24.95)
Made from 100% recycled material, Super absorbent, Quick drying, Slip resistant, Reversible, Anti-microbial, Durable, Lightweight and Packs down small.
This is probably my favourite item in this Edmonton Spring Edition FitBox. This pattern is nifty and it doesn’t have that gross feeling that microfiber does! I’m super excited to sport this to my next fitness class.

YEG Fitness. We are your one stop online fitness and lifestyle magazine representing Edmonton and area. The idea behind our project began from a need to show off all the great things our beautiful city has to offer. From great fitness centres and exercise studios, to health and wellness practitioners, Edmonton has it all. Social, digital, or print. We've got the Edmonton region covered.
How cool?! This is a bimonthly fitness magazine specifically for Edmontonians. They have a plethora of information and if you live in the area, be sure to check it out!

Voucher for 1 Large Deli Salad at Under The High Wheel (Up to $15 Value)
I used to live right around the corner from this awesome noshery, but moved out of the area soon after they opened up. I have not been here yet, but have heard great things. What an awesome excuse to visit. I see Salad at Under The High Wheel in my near future…

One Week Unlimited VIP Pass to Xtend Barre (Up to $200 Value)
Xtend Barre is a Pilates-based workout that is safe and effective. They offer a variety of classes to deliver a strength and cardio workout. I’ve always wanted to try Xtend Barre and now I have a one week pass to see if it could be something for me.

One complimentary recovery session from Pivotal Physiotherapy (Up to $105 Value)
This is super cool and useful. My back has been bugging me for a while so I might as well use this session to help with that. I don’t know what the prices are like now, but when I used to see a physiotherapist it was not cheap. Great value.

Soar Bounce Fitness 5 Class Pass (Up to $120 Value)
Unlike biking and running, bouncing engages every muscle in the body, providing a total strength workout while burning more calories per minute than either activity. Bouncing is easy on joints as impacts are absorbed by dozens of bungees on the bellicon® rebounder. Again, this is a great value as one drop-in class is $24. I’m intrigued by bouncing so I will definitely be checking this out!

3 Free Personal Training Sessions from 2G Fitness (Up to $199 Value)
I’m slightly intimidated by personal trainers, but this might be a fantastic opportunity for me to get my butt back in shape with some free guidance!

Jugo Juice Coupons - One Free Smoothie/Juice and a Two-for-One Smoothies/Juices
These coupons will definitely be used - maybe after one of my new fitness classes?! Click the link to check out the delicious flavours.

Nomadic Wife 10% off “Feast of Spring” online cookbook
Begin your journey towards health, love & mindfulness through cooking, gardening, community & healthy habits. I just checked out her instagram and she seems to be super cool.
I don’t think I’ll purchase the cookbook as I don’t typically use recipes, but I will definitely follow her on social media.

The Spring FitBox included 7 items, with a retail value around $55 Canadian. With the extra coupons for fitness classes, services and food, the value of the box is definitely over the promised $100-$200 value. I paid $61.95 for this box, including tax. Shipping is free! FitBox keeps pleasing me with each box I receive. I received a mix of fitness items, healthy snacks, natural beauty and body products. I love that this box is local to my home city, Edmonton, and that they’re continually curating a wonderful box. Good job, FitBox!
