 First look!

The selections this month are from The Spanish Store, an online store that sells Spain's finest food, drink, and lifestyle products. The card says it's Canada's first such store, but that actually isn't true. Lola & Miguel's, based in Toronto, has been operating online since late 2014! It's great to have  another source for quality imported Spanish products.

Goika Mild Dry Cured Chorizo
This version is made with lean pork meat and seasoned with salt and spices.

Marcos Dry Cured Iberian Chorizo
This chorizo is made with Iberian ham, one of the most sought-after and expensive meats in the world. It's classically made and seasoned with smoked paprika, red pepper, and garlic.

BelloTerra Iberian Ham Cream
This is a spreadable ham pate made from the meat and creamy fat of premium Iberico pork. Use it on bread or crackers, mix it into soup, casseroles, or stuff it into chicken or mushrooms.

Goika Dry Cured Snacking Chorizo
These little snacking chorizo minis are seasoned with smoky paprika, red pepper, and garlic. It's slow cured from cold to warmer temperatures, without fermentation.

The January box from Carnivore Club Canada included four full sized Spanish cured meats from
The Spanish Store. The quality is pretty incredible and all of these items are made in an imported from Spain. I was impressed to see two Iberian pork products. What a treat! As always, this was a fun and interesting box to open and enjoy.
