First look!

The theme for January is “Red Carpet Ready” and the box is full of items so you can be ready for your closeup.

So Susan Light Diffuser - (Full Size, $18 US)
With a scent of cocoa and coconut, this pan smells good enough to eat, and gives you a perfectly defined photo-ready look! Apply the contour shade on the hollows of your cheeks, while placing the illuminator over cheekbones, temples, and nose.
This product smells amazing! I received this in a previous ipsy bag and it’s a go to item for my purse. I love the illuminator and I actually use the contour shade to fill in my eyebrows

Pur~lisse Pur-Delicate Soy Milk Cleanser - (30ml, $20)
Cleanse away the day with this gentle, non-irritating blend of Soy Milk, Soy Proteins, Whole Oat and White Tea. Use on damp skin to remove makeup, rinse with warm water, and apply a moisturizer after.
I don’t know why, but it surprises me that their travel-size units cost $20.00, but this product must be popular as it is back-ordered on their website. I will give it a shot as it is a sulfate and soap free formula that gently washes away dirt and makeup (even mascara) while toning and soothing skin.

NOVEX Bamboo Sprout Leave In Conditioner (110g, $4.99 US)
The harsh winds of winter are especially hard on the scalp and strands. This leave-in conditioner, made with bamboo sprout, leaves your mane feeling nourished with a glossy celebrity-hair shine.
I’ve received this product in a previous Topbox but I am happy to get some more. I like the subtle fresh scent and it adds moisture to my hair without making it greasy.

NANACOCO Classic Collection Nail Polish in Kissing Lips ($3.95 US)
Give your acrylics a break with these fashion-inspired nail colors. Throw this polish in your purse and take it to your next pedi appointment or make a DIY spa-day at home!
I’m not a fan of nail polish because I get my nails done at a salon, but this colour is nice and came just in time for Valentine’s Day! I’m gifting it to my Mom who only wears pink on her nails.

MaskerAide SPOTTED! Anti-Blemish Clear Spot Patches (Travel Size, $7 CDN)
There’s nothing worse than a blemish before a big event! Made with salicylic acid, volcanic ash and tea tree oil, these patches absorb excess oil and calm redness quickly.
These little patches are awesome! I received them in my Topbox last month and gave them a shot. They worked quickly and efficiently overnight to reduce redness and I was thankful they stayed in place all night without making a mess on my pillow. I would highly recommend this product.

The January Beauty Box 5 included five items, valued at $52.00 US. Beauty Box 5 has improved a lot since 2015 and I am more and more impressed each month. The value is great, and it’s nice to see a variety of products. The best value is to go for a year long subscription at $99, plus $36 shipping (US dollars). It works out to $11.25 per month ($3.75/month savings off the month to month price).

As a bonus, new subscribers will receive a free full-size liquid eye liner in their first box. No promo code necessary. Valid until March 31, 2017 or while supplies last.
