What is it? Topbox
How Much? $12 per month plus tax, shipping included (CDN$)
What’s in it?  4 deluxe beauty samples

Topbox is a Canadian subscription service that sends four deluxe samples from top beauty brands each month. Topbox is the premiere monthly beauty subscription box in Canada and at only $12 per month, plus tax, it's an affordable option for those just getting into the world of beauty boxes. Topbox tends to include a lot of skincare products with some cosmetics. They tend to feature higher end drugstore and department store brands. You can expect to see Lise Watier, Estee Lauder, Elizabeth Arden, and Benefit, along with some new and niche brands.

You can see all our previous Topbox reviews here.

I received the regular Topbox this month. Each month you are asked to fill out a survey and you can bid to receive a Prive Topbox, or you can opt to get a regular one. I opted for a regular Topbox. I received the shipping information for my January Topbox after it was delivered! This is not the first time and it seems to be the norm with Topbox lately.

Topbox sends a digital product card via e-mail. The e-mail arrives before the box, with "Spoiler Alert" in the subject line. If you don't want to see any spoilers, don't open the e-mail!

Garnier SkinActive Micellar Water (125ml, $4.49 retail or $0.99 sale)
This bottle of Garnier Skin Naturals Micellar Water was tossed in the mailing bag along with the organza bag containing the products. It seems to be a bonus item this month, since everyone received one and it isn't included on the digital product card I received in my email.

Voesh New York Pedi Mud Masque in Olive Sensation (0.7oz, $2.50)
Apply onto the foot and lower leg after wash and pat dry. Leave for 3-5 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with water.
My legs and feet are in need of some TLC. These will definitely be used as I get such dry skin in the Winter months.

Bella Aura Skincare Gentle Purifying Cleanser (10ml, $4.50)
Wet face with warm water, pump a few drops of cleanser on fingertips and massage into skin for 30 to 60 seconds in small, circular motions.
I’m excited to try this product as I’m always on the hunt for a natural face cleanser that does a good job and is still gentle on my skin. It has a nice smell to it as well.

Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat (14ml, $9.95 retail)
Seche Vite™ dry fast top coat is widely acknowledged as the world's finest top coat. Specially formulated to penetrate through nail lacquer to the base coat forming a single solid coating over the nail plate for a much more durable finish. Guaranteed not to yellow while leaving nails silky, stronger and resistant to chipping and peeling.
This is the tiniest jar, ever and the smell is very strong. I am going to try this on my toes to see if it lives up to its claims. The coupon that came with this month’s Topbox is for 4000 Shoppers Optimum Points with your purchase of any Seche product.

MaskerAide SPOTTED! Anti-Blemish Clear Spot Patches (Travel Size, $7.00)
Cleanse and dry affected area(s). Apply patch to blemish, or any spot where you feel a blemish developing. Leave on for 8-12 hours or overnight. Remove patch and discard.
These spot patches intrigue me. I usually apply a serum to my blemishes and it just gets all over my pillow instead of working on my spots. I’m thrilled that these are patches and will stay in place all night.

My January Topbox included four products, plus a bonus Micellar Water. The retail value of the four products is $28.95, which is an average value for Topbox. With the bonus Micellar Water, the value is just under $35. All the products are sample sized, except for the Voesh New York Pedi Mud Masques. It's a good mix of products, with skincare and body products, but I wish there was a cosmetic product included this month. Overall, this is a very affordable beauty subscription and you always get your $12 worth.

    1. I can't comment on the samples as I didn't get this one, but as someone who is nearly 40, 30 is absolutely the time you should think of (not be worried about) wrinkles. Prevention is everything! I wish I wish I had paid my skin more attention 10 years ago.
