Living in Vancouver for so many years made us fall in love with everything it has to offer. Whether it be the nature in our backyard, countless types of foods and restaurants, active and healthy lifestyle choices, or the number of small businesses that make up more than 90% of companies in BC. We can really agree that it is the best place to live!

Vancity Box recently took a brief hiatus, and now they're back at it, featuring all new products and vendors. I was curious to see how the new Vancity Box would look, since my last two boxes from June and July were a a little disappointing. The first thing I noticed is that the mailing box is smaller. Inside there is still no product card or special packaging.

Let's see what's inside the December box...

New Moon Tea Co. Assorted Teas
This company is based in Chilliwack, in the Fraser Valley of BC. The co-founder, Christine, is a professional horticulturalist with a passion for herbs.
Winter Earl Tea ($5.99) - A seasonal twist on the classic Earl grey. It has a smooth taste with hints of Christmas spices that will make you want to curl up by a hot fire and dream of untouched, snowy mountains.. Only Here for a limited time.
Mayan Cocoa Drinking Chocolate ($5.99) - An organic blend of raw cocoa nibs, chili pepper, himalayan pink sea salt and coconut palm sugar. Each bag makes 2 cups of rich hot chocolate.
Masala Chai ($5.99) - An organic herbal blend of black tea, cinnamon, fennel, cardamon, anise star, cloves, ginger and coconut sugar.
Mint Cocoa Tea ($5.99) - A seasonal selection and only here for a limited time. Raw Cocoa is mixed with a combination of mints and black tea, its like drinking a cup of hot chocolate but with out the cream.

Sealuxe Ocean Flora Soap ($8)
Seaweed, sea salt and deep sea mud spa bar.

Sealuxe Activated Charcoal Soap ($8)
Deep cleaning face and body wash with a mild exfoliant.

Sealuxe is based in South Surrey, BC!

Goodmallows in Polar Bear(~$6.95)
I'm a little bit of festive in a small, tasty cube, like a bear-hug for your insides. And unlike an actual polar bear, I won't bite back.
These chocolate and peppermint marshmallows will be fantastic in hot cocoa! Goodmallows is based in Vancouver!

Wolf Clothing Co. Ugly Christmas Sock ($14)
This festive design is bound to get even the toughest Scrooge into the holiday spirit. With layers of Santas, snowflakes, Christmas trees and Ho! Ho! Ho!'s, this sock is a must-have for any event this holiday season.
Wolf Clothing Co. is based in  Vancouver and has been featured in a few men's subscription boxes, including Gentleman's Box in the US!

The December Vancity Box included eight items, valued over $60 Canadian. This box costs $49.95 Canadian, including  shipping within BC. I was really pleased with this box. It's much better than the last box I reviewed in July. I'm glad that they are back to including a variety of items from different brands and companies. It's a craft fair in a box again! The curation of the December box is fantastic with Christmas themed socks, chocolate mint treats, and cold weather inspired teas.
