What’s in it? 6 gourmet desserts delivered to your door

Bakers Krate is a Canadian subscription that sends gourmet, artisan baked good straight to your door each month. Bakers Krate curates different sweets and desserts from Canadian bakeries and treat makers. Each box contains at least six different fresh baked goods for you to enjoy. Bakers Krate ships throughout the month, between the 1st and the 20th. Sign up before the 19th of the month and you will receive that month's box. You can skip a month or cancel anytime.

It's been a couple month since I've reviewed Bakers Krate, and in that time, they changed ownership. Instead of being focused only on Winnipeg-based bake shops, Bakers Krate is going Canada-wide.
At Bakers Krate, we want everyone to taste these undiscovered sweet wonders, no matter what province you live in! The Bakers Krate team scours our friendly and hip country of Canada looking for the best desserts to satisfy your sweet tooth!

I'm happy to hear about this change. I hope this makes the boxes more exciting and interesting each month.

New look!

I like what I see!

Along with a card detailing all the products, we also received a card highlighting each supplier. They all look to be from around Ontario this month.

First peek!
Red Velvet Cake Pop
The product card doesn't say which bakery produced this little ball of goodness. It's very tasty though. I love cake pops, and the addition of the stick makes it easier to eat.

Snowflake Gingerbread
The package label says this pretty cookie is made by the Flourgirls bakery in Milton, Ontario. It's a classic gingerbread and quite tasty.

Assorted Christmas Shortbread
These three shortbread cookies are made by Market Fresh in Guelph, Ontario. The chocolate one is my favourite. It has chocolate chips inside and is then half chocolate dipped.

Peanut Butter Balls
These peanut butter balls are heaven. Inside you will find peanut butter, icing sugar, and rice crispies, then they are coated in delicious milk chocolate. These were made by Dar's Country Market in Elora, Ontario.

Fruit Cake
The last item is a little slice of iced fruit cake from West End Bakery in Guelph, Ontario. I'm not a fan of fruit cake so I will be saving this for my dad!

The December Bakers Krate included five products from bakeries around Ontario. There are some great items in this box, but as with every Bakers Krate box, I don't think there is enough! There's nine individual items here which works out to $2.22 per item (not including shipping cost), which is pretty pricey.
