It looks like RawSpiceBar has changed things up since my last review. New spice packaging!

August is The Anguillian Spice Box.
Anguilla’s cuisine, like that of other Islands in the Caribbean, is a blend of traditions. It combines elements of native Caribbean cooking, Spanish, French and English influences, and has a strong base of African traditions.

Created with Caribbean flavors of allspice and scotch bonnet or habanero peppers, we use this to create a paste, which is then rubbed onto meat or vegetables to marinate and slowly cook.

Bloody Mary Mango Salad with Pimento Bloody Mary Spice Blend
A blend of pimenton, black peppercorns and spices make up our Bloody Mary blend, perfect for a summer weekend cocktail or in a cooling mango salsa.

Black Pepper Ice Cream with Poivre Melange
We use a blend of white, green, pink, black and long peppercorns to infuse vanilla ice cream, taking ice cream to a whole new level. We particularly love the flavor of long peppercorns, which shares the heat and musk of black peppercorns, but has sweeter flavor notes of nutmeg, cinnamon and cardamom.
The August RawSpiceBar included three spice blends and three recipes to make a Caribbean themed dinner. I'm most looking forward to trying the Black Pepper Ice Cream. It sounds so strange but it probably really delicious.
