What’s in it? 5 or more items for your household

House Box is a Canadian subscription box that sends samples and full size products to help you make your house a home. Every other month, you will receive five or more items, including samples of household products, non-perishable consumables, atmosphere enhancers, and other unique items. Products may include coffee, tea, or spices, candles or essential oils, and cleaners, laundry detergents, and dish soaps. The idea is to discover new products for your family and home.
Every other month, Allison actively seeks out the latest and greatest in household products, from citrus peelers to laundry detergent strips. These safe, effective and natural products are sourced from small companies, many of which are Canadian owned and operated.

This is a review for the August box. The next box ships in October.

This is box #6 for House Box, and it's dubbed the Back to School box.

Detour Coffee Los Naranjos Coffee (60g, $3.40)
This Colombian blend features notes of cola, stewed fruit, and vanilla. Detour Coffee is based in Toronto and they also have subscriptions!

Victoria Soap Exchange Envirowash Laundry Powder (Sample)
This sample (approximately 60ml) is good for 2.5 loads with a top loader or 6 loads with a front loader. It's a low sudsing, ultra concentrated powder detergent that is ideal for people who suffer from psoriasis, eczema, or other topical skin conditions. This company is based in Victoria, BC.

Snack Pack Reusable Sandwich Bags ($15)
These reusable nylon sandwich and snack bags are made in Alberta. The sandwich size goes for $9 and the snack size for $7, or get both for $15. There are loads of colours and patterns to choose from. They can be washed in the washing machine and used again and again.

Fox Run Brands Tea Kettle Descaler ($5)
This "little wad of magic mesh" will keep calcium from building up in your tea kettle. It works like a magnet to attract and trap residue.

The August House Box included five products, valued around $25 Canadian. This was a great box and a good introduction to House Box. The products included are all useful and interesting. I've never heard of a tea kettle descaler before, but now I'm sure I need it. It's also great to discover new Canadian products and brands.
