Hello! Bliss Box Review - September 2016 - Lifestyle Subscription Box + PROMO CODE

Canadian Box Addict pays for this subscription and this post contains affiliate links.

** Dec 2016: This company is no longer offering subscriptions - only gift boxes.**
What is it? Hello! Bliss Box
How Much? $29.95/month, plus $14.95 shipping. Prices in US dollars.
What’s in it? 3-5 unique lifestyle items

Hello! Bliss Box is a lifestyle subscription devoted to helping you embrace a healthy lifestyle. Hello! Bliss Box curates a selection of products that are meaningful, inspiring and health conscious. Products may include a mix of fashion, gourmet food, home décor , and organic skincare.

In addition to a monthly subscription, Hello! Bliss Box also has fun curated gift packages. They also have a Mystery Bliss Box, for those not ready to commit to a subscription.

I signed up for this one after seeing a sneak peek on Instagram. At the start of September, Hello! Bliss Box posted what I thought was a sneak peek for the September subscription (see here). September is my birthday month, and the unicorn rubber duckie spoke to me, so I subscribed. Unfortunately, I misunderstood the post and soon realized they were promoting the Birthday Bliss gift box, not the September subscription. I actually only realized this the other day, after seeing a September reveal post, and right before I picked the box up from the post office. There would be no rubber duckie for this birthday gal.

September's box is the Skincare Edition.

The product card says if you share your pictures on social media, and tag #helloblissbox, you will earn a bonus item in your next box. That's a cool promotion!

The box is packaged with care. I love the bright and cheery colour.

First look

Tunetti Sisal Soap Saver ($2.50)
The idea here is you place a bar of soap in the sack, then clean and exfoliate at the same time. They also say that if you hang the sack up on a shower hook when you are done, the soap will last 3 times longer. I'm guessing because the soap isn't left sitting in a puddle of water in the soap dish.

Revive Bath & Body Fir Needle + Grapefruit Soap Bar ($6.99)
This vegan soap is free of harsh chemicals, preservatives, and parabens.

Lovely Pink Clay Mask ($22)
This mask contains French pink clay, coconut milk powder, rose hip powder, and Jasmine essential oil. It's supposed to soothe irritated skin, while nourishing and polishing pores.

Pine Tree Road Soaps Heels & Pearls Shave Soap (2oz, $4.67)
This bar is made with bentonite clay, which gives the razor 'slip', for easy gliding. A full size is 3oz and includes a metal travel tin. This bar is only 2oz (I weighed it!).

Branch to Nature Thyme Blemish Roll On Stick ($12.50)
A roll on that reduces the appearance of spots and soothes redness. Perfect timing!

The box includes an inspirational quote card. It's meant to be framed and hung up to provide daily motivation. Each month you can swap it out with the newest card. Neat idea!

AHHHHHH! I was so tickled when I opened the box and found the little unicorn duckie. I have no idea if every subscriber received this or just me, but I love it. I wonder if the ladies behind Bliss Box realized my gaffee (I commented on the IG post saying the post prompted me to subscribe) and felt sorry for me so they included the little duck. Whatever the reason, I am impressed and very happy!

Final look

The September Hello! Bliss Box included five items (six if you count the duckie), valued around $50 US. This box costs $44.90 US, including shipping to Canada. I paid $52.46 Canadian with exchange (and using a $5 off promo code) and received about $65 Canadian worth of product. Not bad! This box included lots of quality products from small businesses. I love discovering new brands and products so I'm looking forward to seeing what's in the next box.

The next Hello! Bliss Box ships October 5th. You can save $5 off your first month using promo code FIRSTBLISS.
