What’s in it? A themed collection of artisan-made products from around the world

Each month, GlobeIn delivers “the globe in a box” - a collection of artisan-made products from around the world, curated around a central theme. GlobeIn introduces you to products that you can feel good about - they are often organic, fair-trade, and support artisans and farmers from around the world.

The theme for September is Threads, and this box features some fabulous ethically-created products to add a little flair to your look.

I'm pretty excited about this one. I posted a sneak peek post last week with all the products. Click here to see.

First look

Product book

Wildlife Works The Vicky Tee ($30)
Wildlife Works produces Fair Trade organic cotton clothing made in Kenya. The shirt is named after one of Wildlife Works' seamstress and was custom made for GlobeIn. Subscribers can select their preferred size.

Tribe Alive Tassle Bag Charm ($10)
This tassel charm has a pink ombre look to it. It can be used as a keychain or clip it to your purse or tote bag. GlobeIn's order for tassel charms prompted Mi Esperanza, the artisan collective that supplies Tribe Alive, to hire and train six new employees!

Tribe Alive Foldover Clutch ($50)
This gorgeous woven clutch was made by a small team of embroiders and tailors in Jaipur, India. It's a custom piece for GlobeIn x Tribe Alive.

The quality is fantastic. I love the prints and colours too. I will be taking this on my upcoming cruise vacation for sure!

The Root Collective $50 Gift Card
The Root Collective employs artisans in Guatemala who produce flats for women. Shoes are made by hand with high quality textiles and leathers. Flats start at $94 US, although there are some styles on sale for under $50 (none in my size). Shipping is a flat rate $6 to Canada. I tried to put through a test order of full price flats, but my coupon code didn't work. I won't be using this perk so it isn't a big deal, but if you plan to order and have issues, be sure to contact the company for help.

Subscribers have a choice between the next two items (pick one or the other). I received both for review purposes.

Della Spotted Bandana ($10)
This bandana is made in Ghana, Africa by Della, a socially responsible fashion company whose employees receive a steady, fair income and educational opportunities.

This cotton block printed bandana has so many uses. I plan to use mine as a hair band.

GlobeIn Signature Handwoven Basket from Mexico ($12)
This is the default product for the month if subscribers don't select the bandana. Every so often GlobeIn offers a substitute item for the basket, which is fantastic. Monthly subscribers can choose between the substitute item or the basket (not both).

The September GlobeIn Artisan Box included four items, plus a coupon code. The value is $100 US (not counting the basket or gift card), which is high for GlobeIn. I have probably said this before, but this is my favourite GlobeIn box yet. I will use every single item, and I love the mission behind all the brands featured this month. The clutch and t-shirt are my favourite items.

This box is still available to purchase! Order before September 15th, and you will receive the September box. Boxes start shipping September 15th.
