What is it? FabFitFun VIP
How Much? $49.99/quarter or $179.99/year, plus $8 per box shipping to Canada. Prices in US dollars.
What’s in it? Full-size premium beauty, fashion, fitness, and wellness finds, valued at least $200

FabFitFun VIP is a US based lifestyle subscription box for women. FabFitFun is a beauty and lifestyle e-zine. Every 3 months, the editors of FabFitFun send out a mystery VIP box filled with their favourite products, as well as must have products of the season. VIP features a mix of beauty, fashion, fitness, wellness and home products that help you feel good from the inside out.

Yearly subscribers (Select Members) have the option to customize certain products in each box and get advance notice of add-on sales. Select Members are also the first to be billed and have their boxes shipped. A Select membership costs $179.99 per year (for 4 boxes), plus $32 shipping to Canada. That's a savings of $20 per year, over four boxes. I recently upgraded my regular account to Select in order to take advantage of these great perks.

After 3 years with FabFitFun, I finally upgraded to a Select Membership. It saves me $5 off the regular box price ($20 total saved over a year of four boxes), plus I get advance access to add-on sales, and I get to select colour or pattern preference for three items each season. I don't know why I waited so long.

The fall box is super cool. It's a colouring book, but a box The box is also reversible, so you can unfold it and flip it inside out. The colouring theme is continued with the products. The fall theme - "Colour Me Inside & Out" - is continued inside the box, with some great products.

The product magazine details all the items, the people and brands behind them, and usage tips. It's the most detailed and comprehensive product info book I've seen, from any subscription box!

We also received a separate sheet with exclusive offers from some of the featured brands.

I was super excited to receive this box. Even though I was able to pick three of my items (colour & design), and I knew the other products through early spoilers, I was still anxiously waiting for the post lady to arrive this week. I checked up on the tracking number almost every day. I always feel this way about FabFitFun.

Things Coloring Book & Colored Pencils ($14)
This book was made exclusively for FabFitFun and features drawings by some of FFF's favourite illustrators. April Ho, the talented gal who designed the Fall box, also designed the colouring book cover! Subscribers received either Things or Nature. Select Members had a choice between the two.

Here is a look at one of the pages, with a design by Mary Atwood.

The Created Co. To-Go Tumbler ($19)
This is a plastic tumbler with a great inspirational quote. The other variation was "Joy Comes in the Morning". Select Members got to choose which mug they wanted. The Created Co. has loads of cool products and designs. I love this bright yellow pineapple mug

Mullein & Sparrow French Lavender Body Oil (30ml, $18)
This body oil is infused with pure lavender essential oil from France. It smells lovely.

Skin Laundry Restoring Night Serum (30ml, $50)
This is a "concentrated anti-aging mega serum" that helps improve skin texture, firmness, and elasticity while you sleep.

Toesox Half Toe Low Rise Grip Socks ($15)
These no-slip toe socks are meant to keep you from sliding around in yoga, pilates, or dance class. I don't do any of those things, so I'm not sure that I will be using these socks, but  in the booklet, they suggest wearing the socks when you get a pedicure. This is a great idea for the fall and winter months!

Here is a look at the underside, with the "grip".

The BrowGal Eyebrow Gel ($20)
This clear, waterproof eyebrow gel will keep your brows in place, no matter what. I didn't think I needed this product until yesterday when I was in the washroom at work, under the fluorescent light, and noticed my brows were out of control like Einstein.

Pure Cosmetics Nude Collection ($50)
This palette is great! There are 12 shades, with a mix of shimmers and mattes. They are buildable and blendable.

Spongelle Bulgaria Rose Body Wash Infused Buffer ($16)
You can exfoliate and cleanse at the same time with this sponge that is infused with time released extracts. I received a Spongelle Pedi-Buffer in a box a while ago and it was so fantastic. I can't wait to use this. It smells wonderful.

ModCloth Loch & Key Blanket Scarf ($34.99)
This was the big item for the fall box, not in value, but in size! It's 55 inches by 55 inches. It really is a blanket. This super soft tartan scarf is perfect for fall. There were a few different colour variations available, and Select Members were able to choose which colour they wanted to see in their box.

I chose black and white because, that's what I do. Colour scares me! Interested in more from ModCloth's Signature Collection? Click here. You can also save $20 off any purchase of $100+ by using promo code FFF20. Code is valid until December 1, 2016.

The booklet included some suggestions for how to wrap and wear your scarf.

We also received two sponsored items this season - Secret Outlast Clear Gel mini and Cottonelle Fresh Care Flushable Cleansing Cloths. These are two items I will actually use.

The Fall box from FabFitFun VIP included 12 items, valued over $237 US. This box costs $57.99 US for Canadian subscribers. The value, as always, is fantastic. The best part about FabFitFun is always the products. Box curation has only gotten better over the three years I've been subscribed. The products are fun, useful, and high quality. This subscription is worth every penny, even with the exchange rate. I thought the Summer 2016 box was my all-time favourite FFF box, but now I'm not so sure!

If this box interests you, it's still available, and you can get $10 off by using promo code FAB10. New subscribers will get this Fall box as their first box, while supplies last. The Winter box ships in December.

Update: Oct 3, 2016: The Fall 2016 box is SOLD OUT! New subscribers will get the 2nd Edition Welcome Box as their first shipment, followed by the Winter 2016 box in December. The FAB10 promo code is still valid! Click here to learn more about the Welcome Box.

  2. I live in Ontario and I started my FFF subscription based on your earlier blogpost back in January. I have to agree with you that they seem to be getting better! each box is better than the previous one. I am super impressed and will likely continue! (i also chose black&white. they sent me the wrong mug and now i have both 'joy' and 'morning gorgeous' mugs!)

    1. How much does it cost you in Canadian Dollars? I am wanting to order it, but its saying 49.99 USD plus 8 shipping therefore it would be around 80 canadian dollars?

    2. The exchange rate fluctuates so it's impossible to give a fixed Canadian price. Based on today's exchange rate (Oct 3, 2017), $58 USD is about $72.50 CDN.
This review you've commented on is for the Fall 2016 box. My review of the Fall 2017 box will be posted this Friday Oct 6th so be sure to check it out.
