The June box honours the Tony Awards, which reward excellence in Broadway theatre.
On the stage, beauty is paramount! June's specially designed box pays homage to Broadway's biggest night. This exclusive collaboration between the Tony Awards and GLOSSYBOX includes the essentials you need to prep and prime for your close-up.
After the shipping snafu last month, I cancelled my subscription. This is my last box, and I'm happy to report, it was delivered via Canada Post with no issues.

First look

TanTowel Half Body Classic Self-Tan Towelettes (2 - $5.40)
These tanning  wipes are a neat idea. They exfoliate, tan, and moisturize in one application. I'm not a tanner though as I'm a fair skinned red head, so these aren't for me... and I hate their catch phrase of "look good naked", as if those without a tan don't look good.

Sebastian Professional Shaper Fierce Finishing Spray (1.5oz, $2.40)
This is an ultra-firm hairspray that leaves a high-shine gloss. It's a dry-hold spray that's good for medium to thick hair, which I have!

LA Splash Lip Lacquer Intense in Red Carpet ($6.99 CDN)
Glossybox, you got some 'splaining to do. Their website and product card list this lip gloss as being worth $18 US. In actuality, it's worth $6.99 CDN, and currently on sale for $2.99. They also say this gloss was made just for Glossybox, but it is available for sale on the LA Splash Canada website, along with a few European sites (search product code 14031). Just because it's not available in the US, doesn't mean it's exclusive.

Icona Milano Emotion Allowed Waterproof Mascara ($19)
This mascara is made in Italy and Icona Milano seems to be a Swiss brand, according to the labelling. The mascara is water, sweat, and humidity resistant. Volume is biddable, and a basic makeup remover will take it all off.

Caolion O2 Sparkling Blackhead Soap (21g, $3.36)
This water soluble handmade soap deep cleans to remove blackheads and pore impurities. It's soothing and calming, and offers sebum control.

Lue by Jean Seo Clear Spot Control ($15)
When I first saw this, I thought it was a roll on perfume. It's a special blend of 12 herbs to leave your skin flawless.

This hair oil smooths the hair cuticle and adds volume.

My June Glossybox included six products with a retail value around $53 US. It's not a very high value this month, but we received six products instead of the usual five. It's an okay box. I'm not excited, but also not disappointed. I was happy to see Glossybox sorted out their Canadian shipping issues, so there should be no more unexpected CODs.

  2. Did you find it was worth the exchange rates and stupid shipping?

    1. It's $26 US including shipping, which as of today is around $34 Canadian... the value is typically $50 US and up. I personally didn't find value because I wasn't using a lot of the items, which is why I cancelled. If you can get use out of the products, I think it's decent.
