Vancity Box is a Canadian subscription box focusing on handmade artisan products from Vancouver, BC and the surrounding area. With Vancity Box, you will get 5-8 products, with a retail value of up to $80. Products may include soaps, snacks, drinks, handmade items, knits, and more. It's a craft market delivered to your door!

Living in Vancouver for so many years  made us fall in love with everything it has to offer. Whether it be the nature in our backyard, countless types of foods and restaurants, active and healthy lifestyle choices,  or  the number of small businesses that make up more than 90% of companies in BC. We can really agree that it is the best place to live!

This month, the products came tucked inside a Vancity Box tote bag. I received one of these in my March box as well.

There is no product card, but the entire May Vancity Box features products from SeaLuxe, a company based in Surrey, BC. SeaLuxe products are West Coast made, bio-dynamic, cruelty free, and sustainable. SeaLuxe creates luxe self-care products by sourcing the best that nature has to offer. Did you know sea plants have a higher concentration of vitamins & minerals compared to other plants?

SeaLuxe Goddess Grains Facial Cleanser Sample
For all skin types, goddess grains is a mild cleansing powder that will remove makeup, prevent acne, even skin tone, deep clean pores, eliminate blackheads all while regulating you skin's natural moisture barrier. It's made from fennel seed powder, oatstraw powder, Irish moss (seaweed), Vitamin C, rose petal, adzuki beans and calendula.

SeaLuxe Citrus Soleil Handmade Soap ($8)
This soap provides a luxurious lather with a refreshing citrus scent. It smells delicious!

SeaLuxe Foxy Detoxy Deep Cleansing Bath  Elixir ($12)
This luxe medley of seaweed, salts & sea clay will do all the heavy work while you soak in the benefits of nature.

SeaLuxe Beach Glass Soap ($10)
These single serving hand soaps are really cool. They are small and soft and designed to look like beach glass. Take one piece and wash hands as normal. Discard any remaining soap bits. These would be great for travel and on-the-go, and also very pretty in a glass dish beside the bathroom sink.

SeaLuxe Ocean Goddess Bath Tea ($12)
Himalayan and sea salts blended with seaweeds and botanicals make this is a favorite bathing experience to sooth tired muscles and achy joints. A reusable muslin bag is included in the package.

This pretty bag was tied with a rustic piece of string and decorated with a dried piece of seaweed! What's inside the bag??

SeaLuxe Seaweed Mask ($12)
Featuring green tea, sea clay, bladderwrack and kelp -four heavy hitters to have in your artillery when your going into battle with Father time.
SeaLuxe White Mask ($14)
Chammomile and goat milk are combined to nourish, replenish, soften and relieve irritated skin. This face mask is ideal for those with sensitive skin or dryness.

The May Vancity Box, featuring products from Canadian company SeaLuxe, included seven items valued over $68 Canadian. This box cost $49.95, including tax and shipping. I know this box may not appeal to everyone, but I really enjoyed it. I discovered a new local company, SeaLuxe, and in doing research for this post, I also discovered a really great online shop that curates Canadian artisan products (I highly recommend you check out Little Blue Canoe). That said, in future boxes I would prefer to see a mix of items, rather than multiple items from one shop.
