Naked Snacks recently added a few new snacks to the snack menu, so it's the perfect time for me to review another box!

First look.

New! - Southwest Chicks
Buckle-up cowboy (or cowgirl), these chickpeas will take your taste buds for a ride! Southwest Chick are slow roasted for extra crunch before being seasoned with chipotle, sea salt, lime juice and paprika. Consider your energy levels covered with this perfect nut-free snack. These little legumes are also chock-full of protein, fibre and essential vitamins. Just a few of the important things you'll need to stock-up for your next big adventure.

I will admit, I am not a fan of roasted chickpeas, but these were okay. The flavour was good but I can't get down with the roasted chickpea crunchy texture. For those that are allergic to nuts, these roasted chickpea snacks are nut-free! Chickpeas are also high in fibre.

New! - Lime Pepper Chicks
Our chicks are mouth wateringly delicious. These little beans have in-your-face flavour and a smooth buttery taste right down to their centre. They're low in saturated fat, and very low in cholesterol, not to mention a great source of dietary fiber, protein and manganese. Lime Pepper Chicks are also nut free, so perfect for any nut-sensitive locations. Now that's a snack with substance!

Again, I'm not a fan of roasted chickpeas, but texture aside, the flavour was lacking here. The lime flavour was non-existent and the pepper was very subtle.

New! - Tamari Almonds
Tamari day is everyday. Hot on the heels of snack sensation that is Hearty Tamari, we bring you the no-mess-no-fuss delight of the Tamari Almond. Seasoned to perfection, these little numbers will have everyone around you angling for a taste of your action. Almonds are a bonafide superfood. They're full of greatness from top to bottom, including being high in antioxidants, fibre and vitamin B. Ready, set, grab a handful and GO!

Almonds are high in fibre and protein. These tamari almonds are salty with a slight sweetness that makes them quite addictive.

Siracha Cashews
Sriracha is so hot right now, in all sorts of ways. We took our time to decide which of our favourite nuts could handle the action this exotic hot-sauce brings to the table. It turns out the smooth, rich flavour of the cashew is the perfect dance partner. Cashews give you an extended energy boost and help support your immune system. And Sriracha…well, you’ll have to let your taste buds decide!
Cashews are my absolute favourite nuts. They are so buttery and tasty. These Siracha flavoured nuts are good. They aren't too spicy so I can eat a handful with no issues. Cashews are high in protein.

Maui Pineapple Rings
Pineapple rings have the amazing abilty to take our mind to a sandy beach in paradise. In addition to awesome powers of teleportation, these juicy fruits are packed full of incredible antioxidants. Maui Pineapple Rings are a wholesome super-snack for you and the lucky people you choose to share them with. Each delicious bite provides a healthy boost of fiber and essential nutrients to help keep your body in tip-top shape!

These pineapple rings have long been a favourite of mine. They are made with 100% pineapple. No sweetener or preservatives added.

My Naked Snacks box included five bags of snacks, totaling 750 grams and offering at least 20 servings. The snacks work out to about $6 per bag, which is totally reasonable for quality dried fruit and nut mixes. Out of the new snacks, I like the Tamari Almonds the best. I noticed they also have a new mix called Super-Fruit Sundae and it looks pretty tasty! My favourites have always been Tuscan Road Trip, 3pm Goji, and of course, the Okanagan Apple Rings. There are lots of great snack mixes with Naked Snacks, many of them gluten-free, nut-free, and vegan. Check them all out here.
