What is it? GlobeIn Benefit Basket
How Much? $19.95/month or $56.95/3 months. Additional $12 shipping per box. Prices in US dollars.
What’s in it? A handcrafted good nestled inside a handwoven basket

Each month, GlobeIn delivers the Artisan Gift Box, a collection of artisan-made products from around the world, curated around a central theme. From the GlobeIn Artisan Box, comes the GlobeIn Benefit Basket.
Think of it as a mini Artisan Box: a budget-friendly alternative for mindful consumers looking to discover crafted, distinct goods that empower remarkable artisans in remote regions of the world.

The Benefit Basket includes one incredible handcrafted good, inspired by the month's Artisan Box theme, delivered to you nestled inside GlobeIn's signature handwoven basket. Inside each Benefit Basket, you will also find a story about the artisan, their community, and how you are making an impact on their lives with your purchase.

We have a new box design this month, but no product card or pamphlet. The theme for the June Artisan Box was "Picnic" so the Benefit Basket includes something that goes with that theme.

GlobeIn Signature Handwoven Basket from Mexico ($12)
The GlobeIn Signature Handwoven Basket is made using the traditional “tenate” design. Handcrafted from discarded palm leaves by indigenous Oaxacan artisans and colored using natural, water-borne paints, each basket can take up to six hours to weave.
I'm staring to get a bit overrun with these baskets. I try to use them for gift giving, in place of gift wrap. They're also handy for storage and decor.

Wildlife Works Kitenge Tote from Kenya ($20)
This cotton and canvas tote is 31.5 x 12.4 in. It can be used as a picnic bag, a beach tote, or a book bag. It holds quite a bit. The coloured part of the bag varied. Some where lighter/brighter.

Here's a much better photo from GlobeIn...

A bit about Wildlife Works:
Wildlife Works aims to reduce global carbon emissions by preventing deforestation and land degradation. The company currently protects over 500,000 acres of highly threatened Kenyan forest, and the wildlife and communities that inhabit this land.

How do they do it? Here’s a win-win situation: Wildlife Works employs job creation as a conservation strategy, creating jobs that serve as viable alternatives for people who have previously had to destroy their environment just to survive. The organization’s projects create jobs ranging from horticulture to carpentry to conservation, and finances the development of small businesses such as the eco-clothing factory where your tote bag was crafted.

The June GlobeIn Benefit Basket included a pretty patterned tote bag from Kenya, tucked inside a woven basket. The retail value this month is $32 US. The tote is really nice, although I like the bright colours of the one in the promo photos better. This Benefit Basket is available in the GlobeIn store for one time purchase. Check it out here.

If you are interested in subscribing to the Benefit Basket, new customers can use coupon code TRYBENEFIT to save 35% off their first month's box with a purchase of a 3-month Benefit Basket subscription. That gives you $7 off, bringing your 3-month subscription down to $49.95, plus shipping.
