CallaLife Box Review - May 2016 - Canadian Lifestyle Subscription Box + PROMO CODE

This box was provided complimentary for review and this post contains referral links.

What is it? CallaLife Box
How Much? $38/month plus $10 shipping. Tax included. Prices in Canadian dollars.
What’s in it? 5-8 health, beauty, well-being and lifestyle items.

CallaLife Box is a new Canadian subscription that sends 5-8 carefully selected items each month. Items may be picked from categories such as health, beauty, well-being, and lifestyle. Many products are sourced from local Canadian artisans and producers. CallaLife also works hard to select "good for you" products that don't include any or many harmful chemicals.

[The] mission is to provide you with an array of useful products to make your month a little more beautiful. Whether it's a bag of calming tea, some eye serum to rid yourself of tired eyes, a small fitness device to get you working on your health goals or a super cute soap dish so you have something pretty to look at while washing your hands, you won't get bored of the CallaLife Box

CallaLife also donates a portion from the sale of each box to a worthy Canadian charity. This quarter, CallaLife is donating to I Can For Kids, a school nutrition program.

Boxes ship between the 9th and 11th of each month and the plan automatically renews, with billing on the 19th of each month (for the following month), until cancelled. You can cancel easily any time through your online account page.

My box included a hand written note from CallaLife Box founded, Whitney!

First look!

Friends of Type Postcards ($0.80)
These cool post cards are from the Friends of Type "Keep Fresh, Stay Rad" 100 postcard box set. It makes me want to buy the entire collection. I love fun and colourful typographic artwork. The full set is $19.95 from the Friends of Type shop.

Paterson's Cabin Forest Flowers Face Moisturizer (50ml, $15)
Paterson's Cabin body products are made in the Canadian Rockies. The business was started out of a need for gluten-free beauty products, something that is important for those with celiac disease. This lotion is water based so it's light, but it also contains aloe and Shea butter, so it's nourishing. Even better, it smells like roses!

New Moon Tea Co. Feminine Balancing Tea (20g, $11)
New Moon Tea is is based in Chilliwack, BC. They produce alternative and holistic tea blends that benefit the whole body. They grow or source the finest and freshest organic ingredients, with no added flavours or colours.
Feminine balance tea is designed to help women balance their hormones which with proper lifestyle and nutrition can relieve monthly suffering and aid in fertility. If used daily it can help harmonize the body and relive stress on hormones.

Natura Soy Tealight Candles (6 pack, $9)
These long lasting, clean burning soy tealights are hand poured in Okotoks, Alberta. I received Vanilla Fig scent and they smell AH-MAZING.

Nature's Bounty Cranberry Gummies (60 gummies, $9.99)
Cranberry extract is used in herbal medicine to help prevent urinary tract infections in women. Read more about it here. I'm terrible at taking daily vitamins and supplements, but I am great at taking them when they are gummies. It's like candy, so it's more enjoyable.

Wild Prairie Botanicals Calendula Soothing Salve ($7)
This salve can be used on minor burns, bug bites, diaper rash, razor burn, cuticles, acne, and much more. Calendula ointment is known for being anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-microbial and anti-viral.

Wild Prairie Botanicals Blemish Balm ($6)
This blemish stick can be used on cold sores, pimples, in-grown hairs and scars. A blend of anti-bacterial and anti-microbial essential oils like lavender, lemon, grapefruit and tea tree help the healing process.

Manitoba Harvest Hemp Hearts (2 x 15g samples, $3)
I've recieved these many times before and I love them. They can be sprinkled over meals and added to smoothies to add healthy plant-based protein and omega 3's to your diet.

The inaugural CallaLife Box included eight items, valued at  $62 Canadian. This box costs $38 Canadian per month, plus shipping. It's a nicely curated collection of items. Everything is selected with care and fits their intended mission. I like that this box is a combination of health and wellness items and fun and useful lifestyle items. I look forward to what next month has to offer!

If you are interested in CallaLife Box, this May box is still available, but quantities are very limited. Order by May 8th, and you will receive this box, which ships between May 9-11. When you subscribe, be sure to use promo code ICANFORKIDS. You will get 10% off, and an extra $1 will be donated to the charity! It's win-win!
