First look!

Product info!

Mega Blocks Call of Duty Collector Construction Set ($16.50)
This "mountain recon" set includes a buildable snowmobile with working treads, pivoting skis and peg holes for pack storage and one super pose-able micro action figure. This isn't my speed, and I've requested previously no collectibles. I will have to remember to fill out the survey this month and reiterate that preference.

Dutch Blizt Card Game ($12.99)
According to the package, "Dutch Blitz is a friendly family game where players try to compose sets of cards out of the deck in such a way as to get rid of their Blitz pile as soon as possible". This might be a quick and easy one to play with my nieces.

Pagoda Board Game ($34.95)
This game is a 3-D board game! According to the website "Pagoda is a two-player only game in which players compete to build multiple layers of up to six pagodas". Instead of spreading out like scrabble, you build up!

Quiddler Mini Rounds ($7.99)
I've never heard of Quiddler, but I like word games, so I will have to look into this one more. It's small and portable so might be good for travel and road trips. "America's favorite SHORT word game has become even SHORTER! This clever clickable tin contains a quicker 4 round version of the original Quiddler game."

The May Awesome Pack included four items, with a retail value around $72 Canadian. This box costs $50 Canadian per month, including shipping. I like the three games I received, but I don't like the Mega Blocks activity. Each month Awesome Pack sends a survey post-shipment so subscribers can specify what they liked and didn't liked, and make any other requests or recommendations. I always request minimum 2 player games that can be played quickly, and no collectibles or activities. This means I may get less items, but with a higher value. Awesome Pack has been doing well with the game selection but occasionally a collectible or non-game activity sneaks in. I just have to remember to complete the survey every month.
