This is a review for Frock Box Favourites.

With Frock Box Favourites, your stylist picks 5 items based on your profile and preferences. The style quiz is very in-depth. Along with selecting pictures of outfits that most closely match your personal style and indicating how you like to spend your free time, you have the option to check off what items you would like to receive and leave out items you don't want. My profile was pretty tight. I said no skirts, shorts, pants, hats, jewellery, swimwear, sunglasses, or purses. I said yes to tank tops, shirts, dresses, jackets, and sweaters. I requested things that were office appropriate and described my style as "put together casual".

My last Frock Box wasn't a hit for me, so I followed up with the Frock Box team and sent an e-mail detailing what I liked and disliked about each item. I gave them some more insight into my style and fashion preferences, and included a couple of full body pictures.

The items arrive in a large re-sealable mailing bag. A postage-paid return mailing label is also included. Once you have tried on your pieces, place the items you don't want into the mailing bag, affix the return label, then drop the package off at the post office. Unwanted items are to be mailed back within 5 days (verified by tracking number), otherwise you will be charged for all the items. The product info sheet in your package will include the "return by" date. Make sure your package is scanned in at the post office before that date. The sheet says drop it in a mailbox, but I highly recommend you attend a postal outlet to have the package scanned in and get a receipt with tracking number.

First  look - the colours look promising. I'm a fan of greys, blues, and black, with the occasional splash of colour. I found last month was too colourful for me (my friends would laugh at that).

The retail cost for each item is listed on the product sheet. If you keep one to four items, you pay full price, minus your $24.95 styling fee credit. If you keep all five items, you get a 25% discount, on top of the styling fee credit. GST is extra. If you decide to return everything, you lose the $24.95 styling credit. And remember, if you don't return your unwanted items by the posted  date, you will be charged for everything, with a 25% discount. Items must be returned in their unused, unworn condition, with tags still attached (if applicable). If I keep all five items this month, it's $167.99, which works out to $33.60 per item (not including GST).

Papermoon Heathered Grey Wrap Cardigan ($54 Retail)
At first look, I liked the idea of this cardigan, but once on, it was a bust. The colour is good, and I like the cardigan style, but there is just too much fabric, especially around the bottom. It ends up feeling bulky. - Returned

Moa Polka Dot Baseball Top (Retail $39)
This top is super cute. The length is good, the colour is good, and the polka dot arms add a bit of fun. It's sort of a swing style so it's loose and comfortable around the middle. The fabric is lightweight so it will be good for warmer weather. - Kept

Shop the Trends Boyfriend Blazer (Retail $59)
If you recall, last month I received a similar blazer but it was mint coloured. Mint! I wrote in my review that "if this one came in black I would be all over it". Well here it is in black! It's not the same brand or style, but it's very similar, and I actually like this one better. It's a little more structured, but still lightweight, and it has pockets! - Kept

Love Delirious Charcoal V-Neck Maxi Dress (Retail $49)
The cut and style of this dress was flattering, but overall it was too big. A size down may have worked. - Returned

Papermoon Chevron Navy & Pink Top (Retail $44)
I wanted to love this top so much. I love the pattern and the fun pop of colour. I love the button detail on the back. The shape and style is great... but it's too small! A size up would have been better. It ends up being too short for my liking. - Returned

My April offering from Frock Box Favourites resulted in two new items for my wardrobe. I ended up keeping the most expensive and least expensive items, at $59 and $39 respectively. The total for both items is $98, minus the $24.95 styling fee, for a grand total of $73.05 plus tax. That's $36.52 per item, which I find totally reasonable. I really feel like they listened to my feedback and worked hard to find pieces I would love. As with last month, I enjoyed the Frock Box experience. I was able to try on these pieces in the comfort of my own home, and style them with items I already own. Now that I've had some success, I'm looking forward to what next month brings!
