This is a review for the Hatchling box.

Just in time for March 17th, this month we have a St. Patrick's Day theme! The t rue theme is "Study and the Beat", but everything is green for a little luck o'the Irish!

First look!

i-Clips Magnetic Page Markers ($3.95)
These magnetic bookmarks help keep you organized during exams. The music note design fits the theme perfectly!

Ear Buds ($5)
These are Apple "Ear Pod" imposters. I actually just saw them for sale at the checkout in an Asian market. The green colour is funky and this fits with the theme, but they are pretty low quality ear buds.

Nature's Bakery Fig Bars (2 x $1.50)
I've tried these bars before and they are very tasty. Each pack contains two little bars, kind of like a Fig Newton.

Lucky Charms Treats Marshallow Bar ($0.60)
This is a bonus item that fits with the St. Patrick's Day theme.

Simply Protein Chips in BBQ Tomato Chips ($2.99)
These chips are made with pea protein. They were pretty tasty. I liked the BBQ flavour quite a bit.

Shot Glasses (2 x ~$2)
These were included so you could have a little St. Patrick's Day holiday cheer.

The March Student Velocity "Hatchling Box" included six products, with a retail value around $20 CDN. The value is a little low, and it feels like something is missing. There is no standout item like we've seen in past boxes. I like that they included lots of great snacks, but the lifestyle items are lacking this month. I definitely prefer the larger Raptor Box to the Hatchling Box. You get more bang for your buck.

Interested in trying Student Velocity for yourself or as a gift? You can save 10% off your order using promo code BOXADDICT10 at checkout. Code is valid for new subscribers only.

Since Student Velocity meant for students, they only ship 8 boxes a year - 4 per semester. April will be the last box until the next school year starts in September. If you have been wanting to try this one, sign up soon so you can check out the April box before Summer break. The April theme will be "Spring Clean, Study Clean". If you are a month to month subscriber, your subscription will automatically be suspended as of May. You will be billed again around the start of August for the "Back to School" box, which should ship around August 24th. Also of note - Student Velocity is planning on doing a special edition one-off beach themed box in July. This will not be part of the subscription and will be a one-time purchase add-on. Keep an eye out on their social media channels for news and updates!
