This is a review for the MoonBox, which was prepared for the February Virgo Full Moon. The box arrived to me after the February full moon, so I took some extra time with this box to go through everything and try to understand the rituals and meaning behind everything a little better. Historically, Full Moon Rituals are rooted in Pagan and Wiccan traditions, but now it's seen as a new age way to seek internal guidance and inner peace.

February featured the Virgo Full Moon. My astrological sign is Virgo! I love the description above "simple, detail oriented, maker of lists, focused". That's me!

First look

Moss! And it's real!

Contents Sheet

In addition to the contents in the box, we also received an e-mail with details and instructions for our MoonBox. The e-mail included detailed directions for each of the 11 Sacred Steps listed above. There are many similar guides available online if you are interested in learning more of giving it a go yourself. The supplies in the box are to aid in the 11 steps. We also received a second e-mail with an embedded audio recorded of a guided meditation to complete the full moon ritual.

One of the rituals is "Planting Seeds of Harmony". The box included a succulent clipping and a hexagon class jar. Along with the moss, we are to create a little terrarium. There is a long process to it and we are supposed to think of it as the process of bringing something to life. After adding soil and planting the clipping, we add crystals and other trinkets that support bringing the dream to life.

My little succulent!

The Virgo Moon Tea is a blend of dandelion root, fennel, ginger, hibiscus, holy basil, elderberry, licorice root, & rhodiola root.

We received the following gemstones:
  • Quartz Point
    • Amplifier or all energies. Quartz is the time keeper of the world and healer of our planet. Use this stone to magnify your intentions.
  • Labradorite
    • Mystic. Magic. Mystery. The stone of the stars. Use to connect with those mysterious realms we all dream of.
  • Peridot
    • Enhances connections with friendliness and relationships with compassion. Peridot is a stone of rebirth, renewal, and repair.

This is Peridot Gemstone Spirit Essence from Purifoy. It "opens creative channels and attunes you to your potential and helps you to speak with clarity".

We also received a "Mercury Inspired Virgo Moon Oil" which contains lemongrass, rosemary, sweet marjoram, thyme, white spruce, black spruce, spearmint, & peppermint.

This is the wearable gem, which can be added to the basic subscription for an additional $10 per month. It is a beautiful Opaline sterling silver pendant by Marina Garvey of Simply Wrapped.

This was a very interesting box, and while I had no previous experience with or knowledge of full moon rituals, I enjoyed going through everything and learning about the tradition. This would be a good box for those interested in spirituality, meditation, and the power of intentions. 1. I'm living through your box subscriptions! I'm so curious, what do you usually do with the items in the boxes that you find no use for?

    1. I keep what I will use, and share some with friends and family. The odd makeup item from paid boxes will get posted on a sell/swap group I am part of. I never swap or sell items I receive for review purposes. Quite a bit of it I donate or save to make gift baskets at the end of the year to raffle off for charity at work. I posted a coupe pictures of raffle baskets I created last year. You can check them out here
