This box was provided complimentary for review.
What is it? Fortune Cookie Soap Box
How much? $19.99 per quarter, plus $8 shipping to Canada. Prices in US dollars.
What's in it? 8 mini size bath & body products from an upcoming collection. Ships 4 times per year.

Fortune Cookie Soap is a company that produces handcrafted bath and body products. FCS has a major product launch four times per year, so each season FCS puts together a limited edition box containing 8 mini-size products from the upcoming collection. The Soap Box ships approximately two weeks prior to the launch, giving subscribers an opportunity to try out the new fragrances and formulas, before committing to full size versions. The box also includes a $10 gift code, which can be used on the FCS website to purchase your favourite items.

The theme for Spring is "Let it Grow". This box is full of bright colours and floral scented bath and body goodies.

Product Card

In-Organic Shower Steamer
For maximum results take a hot, steamy shower. Simply unwrap & toss the shower fizzy on the floor to the back of your shower, out of the stream of water. You want it to slowly fizz during your shower, rather than quickly run down your drain. It's like your personal little aromatherapy room, the steamier the better!

Oh Hair - Shampoo Bar
Wet both hair and the shampoo bar. Rub shampoo bar directly on the hair, focusing on the scalp. Work into a lather and rinse thoroughly. Follow with conditioner bar if needed. Store your shampoo bar in a cool, dry place between uses.

Unless - Pedi-Bomb
Plop this Pedi-Bomb into a warm foot bath, sit back and enjoy a ultra-moisturizing foot soak. Fresh spring water with just a hint of algae, flowing through hyacinths and water lilies, grounded by dirt and oakmoss, earthy woods & resins.

This Thing? - OCD Hand Sanitizer
If you are looking for a moisturizing hand're in luck!! This stuff is packed with so many moisturizers and vitamins your hands feel like you've treated them with lotion.

Paradise Found - Petal Perfume
Delicate freesia, bruised rose petals, fresh mango & strawberries darkened by tonka bean & amber. Beautiful perfection.

One C - Cuticle Oil
Soften and repair dry, cracked cuticles with just a drop or two.

Disco Tree - Whipped Cream
Tell dry skin to “beat it" with our best selling Whipped Cream! Seriously. I'm thinking we should change our name to Whipped Cream - it's our #1 selling product!

Guardian of the Forest - Fortune Cookie Soap
You can expect to get roughly 50 hand washes out of a fortune cookie soap before it breaks down -- that's when the pieces are perfect for the soap saver!

The Spring 2016 Fortune Cookie Soap box contained eight products. All of them smell bright and floral. I like the OCD Hand Sanitizer and Shampoo bar the best. The perfume oil is my least favourite. The cuticle oil and Pedi-Bomb are new products to the FCS lineup. It's impossible to put a value on this box, but the soap, hand sanitizer, and shower bomb total about $9 US value. The remaining products are sample size. This box also includes a $10 off coupon code to use towards full size products on the Fortune Cookie Soap website. The value isn't great with the low exchange rate, but die hard fans of FCS will really dig this box.

If handmade bath and body products interest you, it’s a great way to sample different FCS products. I'd recommend this box for a teen or tween due to the whimsical themes and product branding. One concern would be for those with allergies or sensitive skin. While the website lists ingredients for each product, most of the sample sizes did not include an ingredients list and some of the online descriptions are vague.
The Summer 2016 edition of the Fortune Cookie Soap Box ships around May 2016. If you are interested, be sure to sign up soon! If any of these Spring themed products interest you, check out the Fortune Cookie Soap website. The "Let it Grow" line launches February 19th.
