It's February!

The February box is clearly inspired by love. Lots of hearts and chocolate. The entire box is themed red, white, and pink! Along with a product card, we also receive a detailed ingredients list.

First look

High Tea Bakery Mini Heart Shaped Imperials
This is a small glazed sandwich cookie with jam in the middle. It was easily my favourite item this month. I  could have used a couple more!

High Tea Bakery Heart Sugar Cookie
This is a classic sugar cookie topped with royal icing. The decorating is simple and pretty!

Cake-ology Red Velvet Cakette and Chocolate Cakette
These little cake balls were tasty. I liked the chocolate one the best. My boyfriend enjoyed the red velvet.

Roll Cake Bakery White Chocolate Roll Cake in Jar
As you can see, my cake arrived quite mangled again. This one was only half full, which allowed the cake to get tossed all over the jar while in transit. There was only two thin layers of cake and the rest icing. The flavour was good but the presentation was a let down.

Goodies Bake Shop Chocolate Caramel Delight
This is a square of shortbread, topped with a layer of caramel, then a layer of chocolate. I loved the caramel and chocolate layers but I'm not a fan of shortbread. My boyfriend enjoyed the entire thing and proclaimed this one his favourite.

The February Bakers Krate included six treats. We received a nice variety of items. This month we were also introduced to two new bakeries - High Tea Bakery and Roll Cake Bakery, both in Winnipeg. The Imperial cookies were my favourite, while my boyfriend voted for the Chocolate Caramel square. I love that all the products fit a Valentine theme. We had a great time opening the box and tasting everything together.
