What is it? FabFitFun VIP
How Much? $49.99 per quarter, plus $8 shipping to Canada
What’s in it? Full-size premium beauty, fashion, fitness, and wellness finds, valued at least $100

FabFitFun VIP is a US based lifestyle subscription box for women. They started shipping to Canada in the last year and the shipping cost is a very reasonable $8. FabFitFun is a beauty and lifestyle e-zine that is associated to E! News and Giuliana Rancic. Every 3 months, the editors of FabFitFun send out a mystery VIP box filled with their favourite products as well as must have products of the season.

This box shipped at the end of September, but I was away on vacation so didn't get to enjoy it until last week. I also didn't see any spoilers prior to opening the box.

The first thing I noticed is the new product info booklet. It's like a magazine!
Bikini season is over, sweater weather is coming, and the fall box is here!
Yep, the best day of the season is when you walk (OK, run) up to your front door and your purple printed box (in support of Allstate Foundation Purple Purse) is sitting there waiting for you like a little ray of sunshine on a rainy day.
First look!

Passport 2 Beauty Gold Radiance Facial Masks (2 Masks, $65)
The Passport To Beauty Gold Radiance Luxury Facial Mask is specially formulated with luxurious colloidal gold along with collagen to promote your skin’s natural beauty. The surface of the mask is coated with a gold essence and infusion of Rosa Damascena, a fragrant, pink-flowering plant that yields rose petals that provide the precious rose essential oil, regarded to be more precious than gold.

This product is very luxurious... but I would never purchase at that price.

Tribe Alive Glass Crystal Bead Bracelet ($49)
Brace yourselves for the cutest addition to your fall accessories collection. With hand-cut glass crystals, this sparkling bracelet is sure to amp up your T-shirt and jeans look. Tribe Alive works with artisan partners all over the world to employ impoverished women by providing them with a sustainable income.
Cute bracelet, but very overpriced.

Allstate Foundation Purple Purse Charm ($10)
In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness month this October, we have joined forces with Allstate Foundation Purple Purse to help spread awareness for this worthy cause. By attaching the purple charm to your purse, you can help support women in need and join the fight against domestic violence and financial abuse.
I have a friend who will really appreciate this charm.

Merrithew Strength Tubing for Ankle ($15.99) & Total Body Tone DVD (not pictured, $16.95)
Thighs, glutes, and calves — oh my! This full length workout will tone your lower body and core to get maximum shaping and sculpting results.
I could definitely use this set.

Doctor D. Schwab Flawless Skin Fluid ($39)
This lightweight moisturizer is perfect under makeup or on its own to smooth and visually correct uneven skin tone. All natural ingredients including grape stem cell extract and powerful peptides help to balance and brighten the skin and give it a youthful-looking, flawless glow.
This is a super lightweight moisturizer. I like it quite a bit.

Manna Kadar Cosmetics Lip Locked Stain in Lucky ($24)
We’re getting you lip locked and loaded for fall! This 3-in-1 product will be your pout’s new BFF. We’re talking primer, lip gloss, and lip stain all-in-one, plus it adds moisturizing treatment to your lips to keep them super kissable.
This is described as a nude pink with gold undertones.

HISY Battery Pack ($24.99)
Stay charged and ready to go wherever you are! This rechargeable device is a great companion for all of your fall travels. This handy battery pack pairs with iPhone and other devices.
I took two similar battery packs on vacation with me and used them regularly. Lifesavers!

FabFitFun x Tappan Collective Umbrella ($32)
This uh-dorable umbrella could brighten even the rainiest of days. We teamed up with Tappan Collective (an online platform for up-and-coming artists), to bring you this one-of-a-kind umbrella. With a quirky, colorful print created by LA-based artist Ashkahn Shahparnia this design is sure to cure the rainy day blues.
I love umbrellas. I have an unusually large collection. It's a fashion accessory so might as well change it up once in a while!

Crest 3D White Brilliance (Sponsored sample)
Experience brilliant whitening results with this two-step system. Step 1 cleans thoroughly and Step 2 polishes and whitens to keep your smile up to 99% as white as a professional polish (with daily use; stain assessed 4 weeks after a dental cleaning.)

Jewelers Wife Gift Card ($15 value)
Treat yourself to something sparkly! Jeweler’s Wife features designers such as Michael Kors, ALEX AND ANI, Kendra Scott, and more. This online jeweler is our favorite destination for the latest in beautiful baubles. Put your $15 gift card to good use (plus, some lucky members might receive more!). Oh, and shipping is always free.
Shipping is not free to Canada, and while there is no minimum amount required to use the gift card, nothing on the site retails for $15. It's more of a discount card than a gift card.

Picture It On Canvas Gift Card ($75 value)
Your best photos can be turned into coasters, posters, canvas prints, iPhone cases, and more. Whether you create a one-of-a-kind gift, or choose a personalized item for yourself, this gift card is picture perfect. Free U.S. shipping included.
This one is also no minimum required, and several products are priced at much less than $75, so it's possible to use this one with no out of pocket expense. I've already placed an order (so don't bother trying the code on the front of the card in the picture!), and had my order shipped to a US address to save on shipping.

The Fall 2015 FabFitFun VIP box included nine products with a retail value of $277 US. There was also two discount gift cards worth $90. The FabFitFun editors claimed this was the best box yet. I'm not sure that's the case, but I do like it. The value is great and the products are unique and useful. The umbrella, battery pack, and facial moisturizer are my faves.

If this box interests you, it's still available! Even better, you can score $5 off using promo code NEW5 at checkout. The code is valid on new subscriptions only, while supplies last.

  1. I signed up yesterday and immediately upgraded my subscription to annual as I was hoping to get some say in what went into my boxes. They charged my credit card for both the annual and the quarterly subscription, even though I was sent an e-mail from them cancelling the quarterly subscription, and I still can't access the content on the website for upgraded members. I'm waiting to hear back from their customer service on these issues. After, I read a bunch of negative reviews on the internet and read that Canadians have to pay around an additional $20 for their box at the time of delivery. The boxes look amazing and I'm hoping I didn't waste my money. Just wondering, as a Canadian, if you have had a good experience with this company? Any issues with customer service or shipping?

    1. I've never had to pay additional fees on delivery and I've been subscribed for 2 years and I've never had any issues with the box or their service.
As for the selection, I think you missed the selection deadline for the Winter box. That was done back in early December. You will get an e-mail when it's time to make selections for the Spring box. The quarterly sub was cancelled but it will probably take a few days for a refund to come through. That's normal. I wouldn't worry yet. See what CS has to say and go from there.
