Ipsy is a San Francisco based beauty subscription that sends a beautiful Glam Bag filled with with deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products. Once you've received your Glam Bag, you can head over to the Ipsy Community to watch tutorial videos and play along with the Ipsy stylists, using the same products they are using.

The theme for July is "Summer Lovin". I love the bag design this month!

City Color Cosmetics HD Powder (4g, $3.42)
City Color HD Powder sets your foundation for a smooth, matte finish. This finely-milled powder helps blur any imperfections and fills in fine lines to make sure you are always camera-ready. The translucent shade creates a shine-free and airbrushed look that works with all skin tones!
I received a powder similar to this a while ago and I didn't like the effect. This is a great sized sample though.

Tarte Deluxe Amazonian Clay Waterproof Bronzer in Park Ave Princess (3g, $10.31) tarte’s best-selling, multi-tasking bronzer is formulated to blend and build your perfect level of uniform bronze. Available in the signature park ave princess™ radiant bronze shade, the waterproof formula adds instant warmth and dimension across a variety of skin tones as Amazonian clay helps improve skin clarity, texture and tone for an overall lit from within complexion.
I love getting products from great brands like Tarte, but I don't use bronzer so this is no good for me.

Be A Bombshell Cosmetics Lip Balm in French Kiss (full size, $14)
Hydrating formula to leave lips feeling silky smooth with a hint of color.
This is my favourite item this month. It's very lightly tinted and feels great on my lips. I can't believe it's sold for $14 though. It's just a tinted lip balm... nothing special here.

Coolway Beachy Salt Spray (0.5oz, $1.96)
Perfect for creating beachy waves and natural styles with a non-sticky, matte finished look. Formulated with Dead Sea salts for additional mineral nourishment.
It's been a couple of years since I received a Coolway product... too bad it's another salt spray. And it's a tiny sample at that.

Eau Thermale Avène Cleanance Gel Soapless Cleanser (25ml, $2.48)
This deep-penetrating, soap-free cleanser eliminates impurities and excess sebum without stripping the skin. With this triple action formula, including the patented active ingredient Glyceryl Laurate, sebum and oil production are inhibited and the bacteria responsible for blemishes is diminished, resulting in healthy, blemish-free skin.
I always like getting cleanser samples  because they are great for travel. This is a new brand for me so that's a bonus too.

My July Ipsy bag included five products with an estimated retail value of $32.17 US. This bag cost me $14.95 US, or with exchange $19.14 CDN. I received three makeup items, one skincare item, and one hair item. I really like this mix of products. Often I get too many body or skincare products and not enough makeup. I like that Ipsy is predominantly makeup. I will use three out of five products, so it's a good month.
