What is it? FabFitFun VIP
How Much? $49.99 per quarter, plus $8 shipping to Canada
What’s in it? Full-size premium beauty, fashion, fitness, and wellness finds, valued at least $100

FabFitFun VIP is a US based lifestyle subscription box for women. They started shipping to Canada in the Summer and the shipping cost is a very reasonable $8! FabFitFun is a beauty and lifestyle e-zine that is associated to E! News and Giuliana Rancic. Every 3 months, the editors of FabFitFun send out a mystery VIP box filled with their favourite products as well as must have products of the season.

FabFitFun ships in batches and it seems like mine was one of the last to go. It shipped April 3rd and arrived April 15th via Canada Post.

The "Big Reveal" is a bit of a misnomer since all the products were revealed long before I received this box. The only surprise was which scarf pattern I would receive. I was really, really hoping for the watercolor pattern...

... but no such luck.

Jules Smith Modern Art Scarf ($42)
Join Rihanna, Mary-Kate Olsen, and other celebs who are fans of Jules Smith Designs! Each lightweight cotton viscose scarf is printed with beautiful, vibrant colors, and is ideal for transitioning your wardrobe from winter to spring flawlessly.

The scarf is actually better in person. The colour is more vibrant and I love that it's so light weight. It's only 12" by 60" though so a bit smaller than expected. It will be great for travel so I'm going to gift it to my globetrotting mother as part of her Mother's Day gift... and then I might go buy the Watercolor pattern for myself!

We’re over noshing on snacks with ingredients that are harder to pronounce than Benedict Cumberbatch’s name. That’s why we’re loving Cosmos Creations Premium Puffed Corn made with all-natural ingredients. With non-GMO corn, no hulls or kernels, and totally gluten-free, this is one snack you don’t have to feel guilty about.

I don't normally like popcorn, but with no hulls or kernels, I really enjoyed these.

ORLY Nail Lacquer in Cake Pop (18ml, $8.50)
Pop this pretty polish on, and you’re sure to feel springtime-ready. This subtle pink crème color looks gorge on everyone, and will soon become your go-to hue.

ORLY BB Creme Make-up for Nails (18ml, $15)
Like BB Creme for your face? Then you are going to love it for your nails! Nail the look of a natural mani with this time-saving, über fabulous, all-in-one topical cosmetic treatment that helps to smooth, moisturize, and brighten natural nails with a super cute sheer peach tint.

The BB Creme for nails is an interesting product and so far I'm very happy with it. It's similar to OPI Nail Envy, but the light peach tint (very sheer, very light), really does enhance natural nails. I'm a fan already. The Cake Pop polish doesn't excite me too much. I've already received two blush pink polishes in the last few months.

Sun, smoke, and smog suck! But this spring, you’re in luck because we’re giving you a free radical fighting super serum to keep your skin safe from the daily elements. This powerful formula increases collagen growth, rapidly slows down the aging process, fills fine lines, and minimizes wrinkles once and for all! And just because we love you, from now until August 31, get 25% off your purchase at Palmetto Derma with the code “FABFITFUN25″.

I'm always happy to receive another high quality skincare product and FFF always delivers.

Sprout It App Card + Miracle Grow Gro-able Seed Pod ($1.49)
Spring is the perfect time to grow green! Miracle-Gro® Gro-ables® are all-in-one seed podsTM containing everything you need to grow your own veggies and herbs by simply removing the lid and placing in the soil. Earn a green thumb with Sprout It, an app that makes gardening easier with reminders and tips from planting to harvest, customized to your location and garden!

This is a great idea for non-green thumbs like myself. I received a cilantro seed pod, so I'm eager to plant it and have cilantro all summer long.

Yasi Metallic Flash Tattoos ($36 - $3)
Get festival ready in a flash! These gorgeous metallic designs are the perfect, chic accessory for any of your spring music festivals, beach vay-ks, and really anytime you wanna sparkle.

How someone decided to list these ridiculous tattoos at $36 is beyond me. AliExpress sells Yasi brand tattoo sheets for $1.27 a piece. Even Amazon only has them listed as $15.99 retail, although these ones are on sale for $3. It doesn't look good when FFF values a dollar store item at $36. Also... vay-ks? Seriously? It's this product and its ridiculous write-up that have me thinking that I am not FabFitFun's target demographic.

Brush up on your makeup skills! It’s time to spring clean your brushes because this new duo will make you a total beauty pro! Brush #11 is the perfect eyeshadow application tool to make those peepers pop. Brush #20 is designed to help you apply concealer/corrector or any liquid or silk peptide foundation. Want more from OFRA? We know you do! Use code: FABFITFUN40 at Ofracosmetics.com for 40% off your first purchase through August 1, 2015.

Good quality make up brushes makes all the difference when applying makeup. I will probably gift these to my sister though because I recently bought my own brushes that I love.

From coast to coast, you’re sure to love this uh-dorable coaster set featuring illustrations of the world’s most loved cities. Feed your wanderlust with images of New York, London, Tokyo, and Paris — all in a beautiful keepsake box.

For some reason I didn't expect these coasters to be cardboard. I should have known, since they are made by a paper company, but I was expecting (or hoping?) for something like ceramic or cork. I don't expect cardboard coasters to last very long with a lot of use. On the plus side, they are gorgeous and I will use them!

Merrithew 3 DVD Set "Intense Body Blast" and $25 Gift Card ($35.95)
Blast your bod into bikini shape this season! MERRITHEW’s Intense Body Blast three-part DVD set gives you a full-body workout by taking basic HIIT (high intensity interval training) principles and combining them with simple STOTT PILATES® moves for an effective and rewarding workout! Head over to Merrithew.com/FabFitFun and put your $25 gift card toward one of their 500 fitness products!

I only calculated the value of the DVD's, because the gift card is not a true gift card as it can't be used to cover tax and shipping. When you have to spend money out of your own pocket to use a card, that makes it a discount card, not a gift card.

The Spring 2015 FabFitFun VIP box included eleven products with an approximate value of $217.33 US. Apparently there were supposed to be a couple of promo cards as well ($40 discount for Hello Fresh and $125 discount to Vow to be Chic). My box didn't include these discount cards, and I'm wondering if it's because I'm in Canada and the cards aren't valid here. If this is the case, it would have been nice if they let Canadian subscribers know in advance instead of just leaving the items out without a word. I can't say this is my favourite FabFitFun VIP box, but there are a few products I will use and a few more that will make great gifts. The only item that absolutely will not be used is the tattoo sheet. The metallic temporary tattoo trend needs to go somewhere and die.

If you are interested in FabFitFun VIP, you can save $5 off a new subscription by entering promo code NEW5. Spring boxes are still available. The next edition ships in Summer (July/August).

*New Promo Code* - New subscribers can save 20% off their box using promo code FRIENDS.
