BuddhiBox Review - April 2015 - Eco-Lifestyle Subscription Box + PROMO CODE

This box was provided complimentary for review.
What is it? BuddhiBox
How Much? $30.95 per month, plus $9.99 shipping to Canada (US$)
What’s in it? Mix of 4-6 full-size products and product samples to enrich mind, body, and soul.

BuddhiBox is a subscription service for yoga lovers. The goal of BuddhiBox is to deliver "monthly mindfulness through a curated box of products that enhance your yoga practice and lifestyle". Each month you will receive items that enrich mind, body, and soul. Items may include healthy food, supplements, beauty products, and yoga accessories. A monthly BuddhiBox will include 4-6 products for you to discover and share. Even if you don't practice yoga, BuddhiBox is for people who enjoy a peaceful and mindful existence. BuddhiBox practices Saucha (living purely) and only partners with businesses that follow ethical and conscious standards in production. They also donate a portion of proceeds to charity.

If $41 US per month is too much for you, BuddhiBox also offers a mini version. For only $11.95 per month, plus shipping, you can get 2-3 product samples and coupons. This review is for a regular box.

Each month the box includes an inspirational quote, or intention, a yoga pose card, and a healthy recipe.

The pose for April is Deviasana, or Goddess Pose. The recipe is for Blueberry Bliss Goddess Bars, which are vegan, gluten free, and paleo.

I noticed a new feature on the product card this month. Now there are little icons to incidate which items are vegan, organic, and cruelty free. Great idea!

First look... what the heck are those?!

Toesox Casual Knee High Socks in Retro Emerald Strip ($16)
Activate your toes every day, in every shoe. Wear the Casual Collection with boots, sneakers, and oxfords for the ultimate fusion of function and fashion.
I was confused by these socks at first until I read more about them. Ever heard of Yoga Toes? They're like that, but in sock form. If nothing else they will be cozy for around the house.

Amazing Grass Green Superfood Energy Bar in Lemon Coconut (1 bar, $3)
Our naturally sweetened Lemon Coconut Whole Food Energy Bar satisfies while helping deliver the necessary vitamins and minerals you need to power your way through your day.
I haven't tried this yet, but I love receiving energy bars. I've tried so many different ones through subscription boxes. It's great to get to try them without committing to a full box.

Stinky Yogi Pranayma {breathe} Essential Oil Blend ($12)
A concentrated blend of pure, therapeutic grade essential oils that is invigorating + uplifting. Together, this combination of oils helps to open the channels for deep breathing! In addition to inhaling directly from the bottle or diffusing, this blend is great for use in baths and humidifiers.
This will be great for cold season... an all natural Vics rub in essential oil format. I love the idea of adding it to a bath. The blend includes peppermint, eucalyptus, rosemary, and lemon oils.

Real Beauty for a Cause Bath Fizzy (2 pack, $4.99)
These bath fizzies are very cool. They're shaped like little flowers and smell of lavender. This was an extra product that wasn't included on the product card.

Yogi Tea Samples in Skin DeTox and Healthy Skin (2 Tea Bags, $0.62)
I love Yogi teas. I drink Green Tea Kombucha regularly. Unfortunately these flavours aren't available in Canada yet but I'm excited to try the Cinnamon Vanilla Healthy Skin sample.

Amazing Grass Amazing Meal in Original (1 packet, $3)
Make your next meal amazing. Amazing Meal combines our Green SuperFood blend with 11+ grams of premium whole food protein containing all essential amino acids.

I received a different flavour before and I didn't mind it. I usually add the packets to smoothies.

prAna Organic Headband ($10)
The prAna Womens Organic Headband is a stretchy, lightweight, 92% organic cotton headband ready to keep sweat and hair off your face. It's ideal for climbing, yoga, and cross-training.
This is great! I've been using a buff that I received in StrideBox to keep my hair back and sweat off my face while hiking. It always slides off and needs constant readjustment. I recently bought a pair of prAna pants for travel and hiking and I'm very happy with them.

My Mat My Mantra Mantra Spots Mat Sticker ($5.95)
Find inspiration with the original yoga mat sticker.
This is a neat idea. I probably won't use it on my yoga mat, but it will be good on a mirror on the the back of my tablet.

The April BuddhiBox contains eight products (lemon bar not pictured) with a retail value over $55 US. It's a great mix of products for yogis and non-yogis alike. I don't practice yoga, but every month I find a use for every product I receive. The boxes are always well curated with thoughtful and useful products. Even better, partial proceeds from the April box go to Poses for Paws, an organization that donates to shelters and animal welfare organizations.
