Luxe Box is a leading Canadian subscription service that sends beauty and lifestyle products every season. Boxes ship four times per year, and include complimentary shipping.
At Luxe Box, our mission is to help consumers better discover, try and purchase quality beauty and lifestyle products through a unique experience.
I already reviewed one of the Limited Edition upgrades for Spring 2015, the Bene-Boutique, and now it's time for my regular edition Spring 2015 box. I have two accounts so I always upgrade on one and stick with a regular box on the other.

Luxe Box products come wrapped inside a satin drawstring bag, tucked inside a sturdy gift box. It's great packaging and I always reuse the bags and boxes. The bags are great for travel and the boxes are perfect for gift giving.

First look

Instead of a product card, Luxe Box offers a "Personal Product Dashboard", available through your online account.

Missha Collagen Caviar Cotton Sheet Mask (full size, $3)
A pure cotton sheet mask with caviar for healthy, revitalized skin. It contains caviar extract, marine collagen and pure gold to help detoxify and moisturize the skin.
I'm familiar with Missha from Memebox, but I never expected to receive a Korean beauty product in my Luxe Box. I love sheet masks so this will be used.

Skyn ICELAND Hydro Cool Firming Face Gel for Smile Lines (1 pair, $4.38)
Turn back the clock by visibly filling in smile lines for up to 24 hours, with this intensive weekly treatment that delivers instant wrinkle erasing results--without a needle in sight. In just ten minutes, these peptide-packed transdermal patches infuse deep facial creases with a concentrated dose of line-plumping ingredients to firm, tone and flatten expression lines you have, while preventing future ones from forming.
I've used Skyn ICELAND eye gels before, but never face gels. I'm a fan of other Skyn ICELAND products, so I'm sure I will like these, although I doubt they will do anything for my smile lines.

Klorane Gentle Dry Shampoo (50ml, $6.10)
Practical and quick to use, Klorane Gentle Dry Shampoo with Oat Extract is ideal for people with little time, and therefore unable to wash their hair. It owes its cleansing properties to an original combination of highly absorbent agents that act as truly effective sponges to soak up dirt or sebum on the scalp. Hair volume and bounce is restored in just a few minutes.
I don't mind dry shampoo. It's great for traveling and quick touch ups... however I received this exact product in a previous Luxe Box, the Fall 2013 one to be exact.

Crabtree & Evelyn Nail Lacquer in Petal Pink (full size, $6)
The Petal Pink nail lacquer is sheer in colour. This fast-drying polish glides on smooth for gorgeous, glossy colour.
I didn't know that Crabtree & Evelyn sold nail polish. It's a nice colour, but a little too pink for my preferences.

Eyeko Brow Gel (4ml, $12)
This nano-brush and botanically-enriched formula effortlessly defines brows for a natural finish whilst maintaining a healthy brow look. Infused with key ingredients Keratin and Gingko Bilabo combined with natural proteins and multi vitamins to condition, thicken and visibily improve the appearance of your brows.
I've tried Eyeko Mascara and Eyeko Makeup Remover Wipes, but the Eyeko Brow Gel is new to me. Brow Gels seem to be the product of the moment right now. I've received a few different ones lately.

Buxom Show Some Skin Weightless Foundation (Sample Card - Light to Medium Coverage)
Indulge in flawless, come-closer coverage with a sensually silky finish that’s so weightless…it’s like wearing nothing at all. This skin-pampering formula—the best of a bb & foundation in one sexy package—delivers light-to-medium coverage and is clinically proven to increase hydration, brighten and smooth skin while softening the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Formulated with vitamin C  and marine algae extracts to deliver a weightless, breathable texture that seamlessly blends into skin.
Normally I don't like foundation samples in subscription boxes because of colour variations, however this one offers four different shades from light to medium coverage. That's good. The bad is that this is simply a sample card that consists of four foil samples, with one use each. Most people would only be able to use one shade, so the other three would go to waste or be given away. Sephora often gives out samples just like this for free, so this sample really has no value.

Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant (30ml, $14)
Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant rapidly exfoliates both the skin's surface and inside the pore, reshaping the pore lining and unclogging pores. It creates radiant, even-toned skin while reducing redness. The result is a dramatic improvement in the skin's appearance, feel and function which leads to healthier skin. This product can be used by those with all skin types, but the texture is especially suited for those with normal to oily or combination skin, stubborn blackheads or blemish-prone skin.
More Paual's Choice! I just received the RESIST Moisturizer from my March Topbox, so I'm happy to have another product from the Paula's Choice line. I've heard great things about her skincare products.

Too Faced Choocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer in Medium/Deep (4g/0.14oz, $15)
This ultimate shimmer-free, matte bronzer is perfect for contouring and creating an all-over deep tan using real antioxidant-rich cocoa powder.
This is a nice compact. It's about half a full size and well packaged. The problem I have with this product is that it's way too dark for me and doesn't match my profile preferences. My skin tone is fair to light so a medium/deep bronzer most definitely is not for me, regardless of the fact that I don't use bronzer.

My regular edition Spring 2015 Luxe Box included eight products with an estimated retail value just under $60 CDN. This box cost me $24 CDN (with a year long subscription), so I received a decent value box. It's a good mix of products, but I'm not super thrilled. The Klorane is a dupe for me, the Too Faced bronzer is too dark for me, and the Buxom card is a freebie giveaway item. If not for the duplicate product and the wrong shade bronzer, I would have been perfectly content with this box. Hopefully next season is a better fit for me.

If you are interested in trying Luxe Box, use my referral link to save $2 per box. On a year subscription, you save $8, bringing the cost down to $88 for a year, or $22 per box. Shipping is always free. The next season ships in June/July.

  1. I wasn't all that happy with my box. Wasn't impressed with the Buxom ( I've tried sample packs from Sephora and didn't like it. Do not like the bronzer either. way too dark. Plus I don't use it. I got a lighter polish. Very Spring like. It actually lasts a few days - and that's without a topcoat. I tried the dry shampoo, not bad. I hope the summer box will be better.
