surprise luxury beauty products packaged in a glossy pink gift box

Glossybox is a deluxe beauty sampling program, operating in more than a dozen countries worldwide. They consider themselves the "leading purveyor of luxury beauty samples on a global stage".  Glossybox US started shipping to Canada in November 2014.
We are committed to introducing the most exciting brands throughout the world to you. Whether it be a product featured on the runways of Milan or the newest skincare regimen from Japan, we strive to make sure you are the first to have access to it.
One of my most favourite things about  Glossybox is the gorgeous packaging. Every month it's like opening a special gift. This time around we have a limited edition LOVE box, made especially for February. I LOVE it. I'm already using it to store romantic notes, pictures, and other relationship mementos.

Product card

I already knew what to expect since I wrote a spoiler post on February 1st, but it's still always fun and exciting to open and unbox. The products are always so much better in person.

Unwash Bio-Cleansing Conditioner (2.5oz, $6.67)
Show your hair some love by replacing your sham- poo and conditioner with this fruit-scented formula that thoroughly cleanses without stripping natural oils, moisture, or compromising color. This innova- tive take on the popular “co-washing” trend offers a streamlined, chic way keep harsh detergents at bay, while improving manageability and infusing volume in one step.
I've tried Wen products before, which are similar to this. Basically you "wash" your hair with conditioner rather than shampoo, which can be very drying to the hair and scalp. It's not a product I could use daily, but once in a while it's okay.

RITUALS COSMETICS Foaming Shower Gel Sensation in Yogi Flow (6.7oz full size, $15)
Channel your inner goddess with this sensual, deliciously-scent- ed body cleanser. Seemingly like magic, the unique formula transforms into a rich foam on contact with water. Combining the ancient Ayurvedic ingredients of sweet almond oil and Indi- an rose, the classic symbol of romance, that special someone will not resist keeping close all night.
I love the RITUALS hand scrub we received in the December box so I'm looking forward to trying this. It's a gel that turns into a mouse... and it's big! I love getting full size items.

Jelly Pong Pong Fairy Lashes Curl Mascara (full size, $22)
Fairy Lashes CURL is a sculpting, curling mascara that continually curls lashes throughout the day with a unique synthesis of Moringa Seed resin that dries down and holds the curl of lashes for long-lasting results. The unique brush instantly creates dramatic volume and intense definition.
I recently learned that Jelly Pong Pong is owned by So Susan Cosmetics. Both brands have been everywhere lately and this is the third JPP mascara I've received. Topbox was actually the first to feature this brand and that was nearly two years ago.

Julep Nail Polish in Hartleigh ($14)
This is a "Holographic heart glitter top coat". The large red glitter specks are shaped like  hearts! Super cute. Too bad I received this box two weeks after Valentines day. I'm also a bit unimpressed to see a Julep polish in a non-Julep box. I subscribe to Julep already. I don't need to see their stuff in my other beauty boxes.

Royal Apothic Tinties Lip Butter in Pink (full size, $14)
Moisturizes lips botanic extracts. Adds a hint of color. Grape Seed Oil, Argan Oil, Sweet Almond Oil and Shea Butter. I'd never heard of this company before now and I'm so glad I learned about it. The products are super cute and super fun.

The February Valentine's themed Glossybox included five items valued over $71 US. This box costs Canadians $26 US per month, including shipping. Four of the five products are full size, and one is a deluxe travel size. I'm not really thrilled to get another Jelly Pong Pong mascara, but I'm sure there are many people who have never tried it before and will be thrilled to get a full size mascara. I love the lip butter and the shower gel smells great. The nail polish is underwhelming, only because it's Julep, but the fun heart glitter is very cool. All in all, I really like this month's box.

If you are interested in trying Glossybox, there is a great promo code available right now. Enter code OPRAH at checkout and save 20% off ANY subscription term. This is a great deal since usually they only offer discounts off your first month. With this code, you can get 20% of a full year subscription!
It's only valid until March 3rd, so act fast.

Normally when you subscribe to Glossybox you receive the box for the month you signed up (sign up in February, receive the February box), however the February box is sold out. If you sign up in February you will receive the Classic Glossybox as your first box. The Classic Glossybox is a "specially curated box filled with our all-time past favorites". If that doesn't interest you, wait until March to sign up and then you will receive the March box. Just keep in mind, the promo code expires March 3.

  1. I really like mine too. The shower gel is wonderful...
But I already had the julep nail as a gift in my julep monthly box.
