BuddhiBox Review - January 2015 - Eco-Lifestyle Subscription Box

This box was provided complimentary for review.

What is it? BuddhiBox
How Much? $30.95 US per month, plus $9.99 shipping to Canada
What’s in it? Mix of 4-6 full-size products and product samples to enrich mind, body, and soul.

BuddhiBox is a subscription service for yoga lovers. The goal of BuddhiBox is to deliver "monthly mindfulness through a curated box of products that enhance your yoga practice and lifestyle". Each month you will receive items that enrich mind, body, and soul. Items may include healthy food, supplements, beauty products, and yoga accessories. A monthly BuddhiBox will include 4-6 products for you to discover and share. Even if you don't practice yoga, BuddhiBox is for people who enjoy a peaceful and mindful existence. BuddhiBox practices Saucha (living purely) and only partners with businesses that follow ethical and conscious standards in production. They also donate a portion of proceeds to charity.

First look - Each month the box opens to an inspirational quote. I love that element!

Along with the product card, we also get a monthly recipe and yoga pose. This month the recipe is for Tofu Spinach Soup and the pose Warrior I, or "Virabhadrasana I".

Water Thru Skin 3-Wish Bracelet ($12)
This wish bracelet has a conscience. Charity focused, vegan & Eco-friendly in every stitch. Wear  me as a fashion statement, as a reminder, as a pledge, and as your vote for a better world. With every product sold, WTS supports foundations dedicated to saving animals and planting trees around the world.

Danmala Artisan Tea in Masala Cocoa (Single Serving, $3)
This tea is described as "a chocolatey treat filled with sugar and spice". Danmala teas were created to honor mother nature. Handcrafted, organically grown and ethically harvested.

Auromere Incense in Matijpal Peace (3 mini stick sample, $0.30)
Matijpal comes from the fragrant sap of the Peepal tree, known as the "Bodhi" Tree because the Buddha achieved realization while seated in meditation beneath it. The fragrant smoke creates a soothing and deeply peaceful atmosphere.
This is a bonus item that wasn't included on the product card. It smells divine. Auromere Incense is imported from South India, where incense making is an ancient art.

Akima Botanicals Yoga Mat Spray (4oz, $10 per company website)
Made with anti-bacterial, anti-microbial, and disinfecting Essential Oils. A lovely citrus scent with a hint of lavender to maintain a calm yet refreshed state of mind. Of course, this is great for Pilates mats and other exercise equipment as well.
Sencha Green Tea Mints in Yuzu Ginger (35 mints 21g Eco-Tube, $4)
Introduced to Japan during the appropriately-named Tang Dynasty, the tangy yuzu fruit is said to warm the body and relax the mind. This floral citrus fruit blends with tantalizing ginger for a mint experience unlike any other.
These mints are made with whole leaf green tea to help you fight Dragon Breath naturally. They are low in caffeine (3 mints = 1 mg). The Yuzu Ginger flavour was a little strange at first, but they did leave my mouth feeling very fresh. These are available online in Canada from well.ca.

Aurorae Yoga Slip Free Rosin Bag ($12.95 - currently on sale for $7.95)
Aurorae Yoga Rosin Bag has been developed to aid in the prevention of Slipping on your Yoga mat. Similar to gymnasts, tennis players and baseball pitchers, perspiration creates slipping problems when a firm grip is necessary to maximize their performance. Our Aurorae Yoga Slip Free Rosin Bag increases your gripping power and absorbs perspiration with the slight touch of the bag.

Yoga Sak Wet Bag ($9.95)
The Yoga Sak Wet Bag is a super functional and convenient on-the-go solution for storing your soiled clothes after those sweaty and tough workouts. The Wet Bag features a water proof inner lining and is machine washable. It fits nice and snug inside the Yoga Sak's rear compartment for easy storage. The Wet Bag is an add on piece for a "Yoga Sak", which is a backpack style yoga bag with oodles of pockets and storage spots. It's said to be the best yoga bag on the market, so it's worth checking out. The Wet Bag is handy even if you don't have a Yoga Sak. I'm taking it with me on vacation in a few weeks to use for my bathing suit and workout wear.

The January BuddhiBox included seven items, with retail value over $52. It's a great assortment of items this month, with three items to enhance your yoga practice, and four items to enhance your lifestyle and mood. I love that BuddhiBox always introduces me to new products and brands, and helps me live a more mindful and peaceful existence. January is another great month from BuddhiBox. This box is available for one-time purchase from the BuddhiBox Shop. It's $30.95, plus shipping. Click here to check it out.
