Ipsy Glam Bag Review - June 2014 - Beauty Subscription Bag

What is it? Ipsy Glam Bag
How Much? $10 per month, plus $4.95 shipping to Canada
What’s in it?  4-5 beauty products every month

This lovely pink package greeted me in my mail box yesterday, right on schedule. The theme for June is "Pretty in Paradise".

Warm white sandy beaches or a cafe under a star filled night sky, being pretty in YOUR paradise is only a Glam Bag away. We picked products that are excellent for an extravagant getaway or a quintessential kit for a quick trip for some peace and quiet. What paradise is on your bucket list?
The cosmetic bag for June is by Rebecca Minkoff for Ipsy. It's a fun tropical pattern and I like it!

This was a true first look. I didn't peek at any spoilers this month! This is what was picked for me based on my Ipsy Match quiz:

Skinn Olive & Enzyme Cleanser (2oz, $12)

Marc Anthony Dream Waves Beach Spray (45ml, $3.15)

Be a Bombshell Lash Out Mascara (full size, $15)
There have been complaints that this product smells "off". Use at your own risk and if you experience any issues, contact Ipsy Care.

NYX Butter Gloss in Creme Brulee (full size, $5)

Jesse's Girl Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner (full size, $6.99)

The June Ipsy Glam Bag included 5 products, valued at $42.14. I paid $10, plus $4.95 shipping for this bag (US dollars), so it's a great value. Overall I'm happy with the products received. I love liquid eyeliner so I'm excited to try this one from Jesse's Girl. I've enjoyed all the previous Be a Bombshell products I've received, and their mascara is new to me. I'm always up for trying beach sprays for my hair. So far I've tried versions from Bumble & Bumble, Julep, Charlotte Ronson, and Sexy Hair. Marc Anthony's Dream Waves is another new product to me and I'm excited to try it out for a tousled, beachy look. The only productss I'm not 100% excited about is the Skinn cleanser and the NYX gloss. The first one... It's a cleanser and I will use it and that's all I feel about that. For the gloss, I'm not a fan of NYX products and the colour is not for me. Despite those two disappointments, of all the products available for Ipsy subscribers this month, I think the five I received are the best suited for me. Ipsy Match for the win!

  1. I got same mascara, lipgloss and hairspray. The other items were parfume and brow pencile - both of these I will not use so they will be gifted. I will most likely give the mascara away as well as I don't use mascara often. I really liked the lipgloss! And I can't wait to try the hair product too

  2. I love Ipsy & that everyone's bags are different (or most of them) the only thing i got the same was the lip gloss & i got perfume, different hair product, eyebrow pencil and some crazy glitter eyeliner. Either way you look at it, it's a good deal!
