Topbox Review - May 2014 - Beauty Subscription Box
What is it? Topbox
How Much? $12 per month, shipping included
What’s in it? 4 deluxe beauty samples
The May Topbox shipped on May 14th and arrived May 15th. In support of Earth Month, Topbox chose to forego the usual tube package in favour of a simple organza bag.
This isn't a bad colour but I have a couple other polishes in similar shades. This one will be put to another use.
This is a great deluxe size sample (the full size is 6.5ml). The card says it will increase lash volume up to 6 times with only two coats. I have a hard time believing beauty claims like this but I love mascara samples so this will get used.
I wear SPF lotion every day, no matter what season, so this will get used. It's oil-free and meant to maintain the skin's moisture level all day.
I love this sample! It's the new tinted lip balm from Benefit's Tints line. They are formulated with mango butter and meant to be moisturizing and conditioning. The colour is great for me and it glides on easily. The sample packaging is very deluxe, but the size is only 1/12th of a full size so it won't last long.
The May Topbox included 4 samples, valued at $37.25. I paid $13.44 for this box ($12 plus tax) so it's a good value. The package also included an optional 5th sample, which I can obtain by attending my nearest Bay department store. I can't complain about the products this month. I will use 3 of the 4 products. I also like that there is something for skin, nails, eyes, and lips. I love when a box contains a bit of everything.
