What is it? Beauty Box 5
How Much? $12/month, $30/quarter, $99/year  plus $3 shipping per box
What's in it? 5 samples from your favourite beauty brands

The March Beauty Box 5 shipped March 8th and arrived March 17th. The shipping e-mail headlined with Spring Has Sprung, indicating a possible theme for March's box.

Out with the old, in with the new! This month we're making moves and making room by throwing out the makeup we never use, putting a stop to bad habits, and focusing on our top beauty goal: clean, gorgeous skin.

Sneak Peek

Tree Hut Moisturizing Hand Cream in Tropical Mango (3oz, $5.29)
I have received two previous Tree Hut products from BB5, both of them Tropical Mango scent, and I loved them. I am happy to receive this generous size product.

Jane's Pick All Natural Handmade Bar Soap (1.35oz sample,  $2.16)
Soap is a staple so I can't complain. It's pretty but doesn't smell like anything special.

Design Essentials Natural Curl Enhancing Mouse (1.83oz, $3.90)
Now this is something interesting. I have natural curl that I can often manipulate into awesome soft, tousled waves with just some curling gel and serious scrunching.

SwissCo Dual-sided Facial Pad ($2)
This is just a simple loofah scrubby. I feel like it might be too harsh for my face so I may use it as a body scrubby instead.

Bellapierre Cosmetics Makeup Base (0.25oznet wt. full size, $18.99)
This is the product that was promised in the March Sneak Peek. It's smaller than I expected, similar in size to the Bellapierre eye shadows BB5 has sent out in the past. The website lists the "weight" as a liquid measure of millilitres, but the product itself has a listed net weight of 0.25oz. (The 0.29oz listed on the product card is the equivalent of 8.5ml listed on the website). Weights and measures aside, I'm looking forward to giving this a try.
This wonderful product helps transform all of our shimmer powders, from shimmery to matte; it also provides a water proof base for any of our pigments. Some clients also choose to use our makeup base as a Concealer for blemishes and impurities that are more difficult to cover with makeup.

The March Beauty Box 5 contained five products valued at  $32.34. Not bad at all for a box that cost $6.58 (with a discounted $79 year subscription). I really like this box. It's a great improvement from the disappointing February box. I will use everything in this box so I consider that a win.

What did you receive in the March Beauty Box 5?

  1. My box is identical to yours, save the lotion scent (coconut lime, yum!). I am most excited to try the curling "mousse". As for the face scrubby....I will gladly use it anywhere but my face... Lol. This was my 3rd box and certainly the best yet. :-)

  2. I got the same box and am happy with it! I wish I had the mango hand cream though, mine is lime coconut and I hate coconut so it will be regifted / given to a friend or something like that, as I'm sure it's very lovely :)
