Wantable Intimates Box Review - November 2013 - Undergarment Subscription Box

What is it? Wantable
How Much? $36 monthly or $40 one time purchase, plus approximately $10 shipping
What's in it? Intimates box includes 4-5 premium essentials. Make up box includes 4-5 full-size premium makeup products. Accessories box includes 3-4 boutique jewellery pieces. All are picked to match your profile preferences.

Just a bit of housekeeping about Wantable before I begin.  I haven't subscribed to the Wantable Makeup or Accessories box in some time, but I recently learned Wantable quietly changed their subscription models. The Makeup box used to include 4-6 makeup products with a value of $80-$100. The Accessories box used to contain 4-5 jewellery pieces with a value of $80-$100. Sometime in September, Wantable changed both box descriptions: Makeup to 4 to 5 pieces, with no guaranteed value, and Accessories to 3-4 pieces, also with no guaranteed value. For the November box, Wantable changed again, dropping the Makeup box down to 3-4 items. The subscription prices have remained the same. After much complaint, it looks like Wantable has bumped the Makeup Box back to 4-5 items, but they have still rescinded the guaranteed box value. Reviews I have seen over the past few months had approximate values of $60-80. For those of you that refer to my reviews before making the decision to subscribe or not, be aware that my Makeup Box and Accessories Box reviews were posted before the subscription models changed so will feature more products and higher values. Now for my November Wantables Intimate Box review!

I tweaked my profile a bit after last month and opted to not receive hosiery, accessories, and soft bras. Everything else was either like or love, with the love emphasis on loungewear, tanks, tights/leggings, panties, and neutrals. I think Wantable matched my preferences pretty well!

I forgot to take a first look picture... but it basically looked like this, because the shorts covered the entire top of the box!

Betsey Johnson Intimates Sleep Shorts in Houndstooth  ($29)
These shorts are super cute and made from soft rayon fabric.

Jockey Cheeky Fit Clean-Edge Microfiber Stretch Thong ($12)
Another great pantie by Jockey. A black thong is seriously my wardrobe staple and this clean-edge pair are perfect under dresses and skirts.

Whimsy by Lunaire Multicoloured Bikini Pantie ($15)
These are cute but not really my style. They are made of a nylon/cotton/spandex blend so they are stretchable, breathable, and soft. I will keep them for my "pyjama days" around the house.

The Original Muk Luks Tights ($21)
I'm not sure about these tights. They are designed after the current "sweater trend" of tights and leggings. I'm not down with the look as leggings but these neutral grey/black tights might be cute in the winter under a black dress or skirt with boots.

My November Wantable Intimates Box contained 4 items with a retail value of $77. This box is normally $36 plus approximately $10 shipping and duties to Canada. I had some referral credits so I received this box for $5 (shipping only). It's a great value, whether paying full price or not. It ends up being 40-50% off retail prices, which is really not all that different from shopping at designer discount stores like Winners and Marshall's.

What do you think of the November Wantable Intimates Box?

  1. Good to know about the guaranteed values, i had noticed makeup boxes with fewer pieces in them.
