It feels like forever since I received a Julep box. I skipped August so I haven't seen Julep since early July. I decided to go for the September box because of the cleansing oil. Facial cleansing oils are hot right now and I wanted to see what all the hype is about.

"If your dreams do not scare you, they aren't big enough."

 First look

This is the first box I've received since Julep changed their packaging a little bit. The new box is wider so it no longer fits into my condo mailbox. I had to pick this one up at the post office because I wasn't home when the postie arrived. Another change is that Julep now includes the Add-on's inside the monthly Maven box.

I opted for the Modern Beauty box with a couple of Add-on's.

Bare Face Cleansing Oil ($28)
This lightweight, antioxidant-rich cleanser gently and thoroughly dissolves makeup, dirt, and excess oil without over-drying skin, then rinses clean with no oily residue. Recommended for all skin types.

Blank Canvas Mattifying Face Primer ($28)
This age-defying primer creates a smooth, even canvas for gorgeous makeup that lasts all day.

Add-On's:

Konjac Cleansing Sponge ($12)
This super-soft sponge is an all-natural exfoliant made from the fibrous root of the Japanese Konjac plant.

Padma Polish ($14)
Classic with a Twist - Royal plum crème

One-Step Polish Remover Pad (1 Pad) BONUS ITEM
The regular Polish Remover Pads come with 10 little pads in one packet. They are my absolute favourite Julep product so I really, really hope Julep isn't changing the product to be one little pad per packet.

This is just to show you the new polish packaging. The bottles are the same but now they come in a box instead of cello wrap. I'm not sure if the plastic or the paper is more wasteful. I guess the box is recyclable and the new packaging is better for gifting.

My September box, with the add-on's, has a retail value of $82! I got it all for... Free! I redeemed 3750 Jules (Julep rewards points) to get everything free this month! I'd say that's a bargain.

What do you think of the September Julep box?

    1. I have yet to try it out. I'm trying to finish up a couple other open tubes before I start on a new one. I'm bad that way!
