Seasons Box - Ceasing Canadian Shipping

*This box is closed*
This probably shouldn't come as a surprise, but the Eco-Lifestyle Subscription box that so many people came to love, will cease serving its Canadian customers.

I am a current SeasonsBox subscriber, yet I first learned this news from a random poster on the Makeup Talk forums. I went to the Seasons Box Facebook page to see if it was true.

These messages were posted on Facebook on August 19th. Seasons Box has yet to send a blanket e-mail to customers, or even make an actual post on the subject on its Facebook page. The posts above are in reply to a customer inquiry.

The post indicates they will continue to fulfill the subscriptions of Canadians who signed up "before the cut off", but they never actually announced or made public when this cut off date was. Apparently it has already came and gone. Month-to-month subscriptions have been cancelled. Some of those who were billed for a September box have been refunded. Those with 3, 6, and 12 month subscripti…

Topbox Review - August 2013 - Beauty Subscription Box

What is it?Topbox
How Much? $12 per month, shipping included
What’s in it?  4 deluxe beauty samples
Topbox shipped a little later this month. Thankfully this company is VERY organized, and notified customers about the delay in June, and again at the beginning of August. The delay was due to one of the participating brands wanting to wait so the Topbox coincided with a new product launch in stores. In the words of Chuckie from Sons of Anarchy... I can accept that.

Once again, I received the regular Topbox. I'm fine with it, although August was the first month ever that I "wished" for a Prive box. I put both Miracle 10 options and the Darphin Prive boxes on my Wish list.

Avon - MEGA Effects Mascara (Full size, $12)Panoramic Volume - Lashes look darker, denser and more dramatic for up to 24 hours.

I have more than enough mascara samples, but this one is no regular mascara. Check this out:

This little recipe pamphlet was a bonus in the box!

Make Cheese - Mini Motza Mozzarella Cheesemaking Kit ($24.95)

I am SO excited to try this kit. It makes 8 batches of mini motza balls. I recently purchased two Cream Cheese kits via Foodie Pages as well. This will make a good rainy day project.

Ipsy Glam Bag Review - August 2013 - Beauty Subscription Bag

What is it?Ipsy Glam Bag
How Much? $10 per month, plus $4.95 shipping to Canada
What’s in it?  4-5 beauty products every month I've been so busy this month, I didn't peek at ANY spoilers for the August Ipsy. I didn't even peek on the website to see the bag design.

This is what greeted me when I opened the bubble mailer today. The theme for August is "Glamour Academy" and the Glam Bag is "full of beauty essentials that are perfect for stashing in your school bag".

I LOVE the bag! It reminds me of Hogwarts. I'd totally be a Gryffindor.

Once again I received a free gift for referring two new Ipsters! This month I received a nail polish from Lime Crime in Crema de Limon. The colour is quite fun but I don't love the formula. It's a finicky one. Took a few very precise coats to get good coverage.

Noya Lip Balm  in Cherry (Full size, $3.99)

Our cherry flavored lip balm is a lightweight, all-natural formula that moisturizes your lips while at the sam…

What's in it? 4 or more products for your dog

This is my second Bark Box, which is kind of hilarious since I don't have a dog. I ordered the June box and gifted all the items to my mum for her two pooches. With referral credit, I was able to get the July box for free! The box arrived July 29th.

I love the stamping on Bark Box. The little dogs are so cute!

Instead of the statement necklace in the preview, I received two even better ones!

Ellen Necklace ($36)
This stunning necklace features rows of intricate metallic pieces linked together for a unique display.

I really like this necklace. It's got good weight to it and seems of good quality. I'm also happy to finally see something silver. Most of the other pieces I've received have been gold tone.

Gretta Necklace ($32)
The Gretta Necklace featu…
