After the debacle in June with the DD Cream & Concealer, I planned on skipping the July box. Then Julep came out with the California Coast Collection and reeled me back in. Damn Julep!

Not only did I get a July box... I upgraded to the full collection!

Julep included a bonus in every box again this month. Green Tea Facial Blotting Papers! These will come in handy during those hot, sweaty summer days.

Beach Tonic Dry Body Oil (3.5 oz, $23)
A blend of lightweight yet nourishing oils that moisturize, condition, and restore elasticity and suppleness to the body.

I really like this! I'm not good about applying moisturizer regularly but this spray makes it very easy. I use it after the shower when my legs are still a bit damp. Spray on, rub in a little and away you go!

Sea Salt Texture Spray (3.9 oz, $22)

We bottled the beach! This paraben-free spray uses sea salt water infused with a combination of marine botanicals that provide intense moisture and essential nourishment. The two-punch combo protects hair from sun damage while creating ocean-kissed, tousled waves.

I have three beach sprays now and this one is my favourite so far. I packed it up and took it to the cottage with me over the weekend.

In order left to right:

Faye - Liquid bronze shimmer ($14)

Adele - Golden reflective top coat ($14)

Angela - Deep sea blue molten ($14)

Blakely - Purple and green molten ($14)

Tracy - Sparkly ocean blue sea salt ($14)
I am most excited for this one! I love the sea salt texture polishes.

Joanna - Lilac frost ($14)

Alaina - Driftwood taupe crème ($14)

Cassie - Soft coral sheer ($14)

Karen - Peach bellini frost ($14)

Nadia - Sun-kissed golden frost ($14)

The Julep upgrade box included 10 polishes and 2 body products, with a retail value of $185. I paid $54.99 for the upgrade box. I'd say that's a pretty good value.

Julep has already released a sneak peek for the August Maven boxes. If you are a foot/pedicure person, you will love this product. I'm really curious about the blister prevention formula.

  1. I think you paid $55 not $50 :) Not that it's a big deal but they did change the upgrade fees to $35 a couple months ago. This was a fun collection, I ended up skipping cause I'm trying not to get so much polish, skipped again for August, maybe they'll lure me back in September!

    1. You're right! I didn't even notice they raised the upgrade charge until this month.

  2. You sure do love your polish lol. I have the Body Oil and like it. I really want to try that Texture Spray.

    1. That's the worse part... I haven't been using as much polish this summer. I skipped August. Don't need any more of anything!

  3. It's always great when a store can tempt you into buying something you love. It's looks like a fun collection.
