** This company no longer offers subscriptions.**
What is it?Designher Kit
How Much? $19 per month
What’s in it? 3 carefully curated DIY jewellery and accessories projects

I first learned about Designher Kit back in October when I came across their crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo (read my first post here). I pledged funds immediately when I saw Designerher Kit is a Canadian subscription service!

Each  month you receive a golden envelope containing all the materials needed to make 3 jewellery projects. You can specify your preference of gold tones, silver tones, or mixed tones. Instructions for the projects can be found online, at the Designher Kit Craft Table. The monthly subscription does not include tools, but you can purchase a DIY Starter Kit for $29, or $26 with a monthly subscription. The DIY Starter Kit includes 2 pairs of needle-nose pliers, a pair of round-nose plies, a pair of wire cutter pliers, 1 glue gun, 2 glue sticks, and 1 thread nipper.

How Much? $19.99 per month plus $3 shipping (Canada Only)
What’s in it?  Over a dozen organic, natural health conscious samples

Little Life Box is a new Canadian subscription box offering you the opportunity to sample and experience new green, organic, and health conscious products in a convenient and fun way. Little Life Box sent me this box complimentary for review.

Upon opening I found the box packed with care. It included a post card with a hand written note affixed with a mini clothes pin.

The box is shipped each month and contains sample-sized products ranging from supplements to hemp crackers. For $19.99 a month, they promise to provide "more than your money's worth in product samples".

First look
There was no product card included in the box, but I did find all the products listed on the Little Life Box website.

Luxe Box Review - Winter 2013 - Beauty Subscription Box

What is it? Luxe Box
How Much? $26 per quarter, $50 semi-annually, $96 yearly. Shipping included.
What’s in it?  7-8 Trial-size products every season (4x per year)  This is the last Luxe Box in my pre-paid year subscription. The next box is due out in Spring so I have lots of time to decide if I want to re-new. Luxe Box offered three limited edition boxes for upgrade this winter, along with the regular box. There was a LOULOU Edition, Zoomer Edition, and New Year's Edition. For the past  two seasons, I maintained two Luxe Box accounts so I could get one upgrade box and one regular box, but I never found the upgrade box was worth it. Many of the products from the upgrade box appeared in the regular boxes too so there was no exclusivity. For this season, I cancelled one account and opted for only the regular box.

More subscription company cross promotion... Luxe Box has partnered with Panty by Post to offer $25 off any subscription using code Gift25. Expires March 31, 2014. I was th…

Tea Sparrow Review - November 2013 - Canadian Tea Subscription Box + PROMO CODE!

What is it?Tea Sparrow
How Much? $20 per month, shipping included
What’s in it? 4 premium loose leaf teas to make 35-40 cups of tea.

Tea Sparrow has been on my radar since I started my blog earlier this year. Not only are they a Canadian company, but they are based in Vancouver. I have an affinity for local subscription companies. I was in Seattle, for Black Friday shopping weekend, when I received an e-mail from Tea Sparrow asking if I would like to review a box. I couldn't get to a WiFi hot spot fast enough to send my reply. I am a tea drinker, exclusively. Even after 10 years of shift work, I still do not drink coffee. Tea Sparrow has always been at the top of my "subscriptions to try" list, but I have such a stockpile of tea already, I could never justify the expense. To say I was thrilled to be offered a review box is an understatement. I took some extra time to write this review so I could sample each tea.

Every month, Tea Sparrow sends you 4 carefully selected teas…
